Happy day for animal lovers!

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Sam, a koala survivor from one of Australia’s recent wildfires, is doing very, very well!

The world met Sam when videos of her rescue were posted all over the news and in the internet.  She was rescued by a firefighter named David Tree and left quite an impression to humans around the globe when she drank Tree’s water bottle while holding his hand.

“I could see she had sore feet and was in trouble, so I pulled over the fire truck. She just plonked herself down, as if to say ‘I’m beat’,” Tree said. “I offered her a drink and she drank three bottles.  The most amazing part was when she grabbed my hand. I will never forget that.”

According to Sam’s animal carers, the burns in her paws are healing really good now.  :)

How romantic!

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Hello again, I hope everyone is having a great day today. Well, despite how our daily routine could make our life seem dull, it’s always important to look out for the things that could add a spark to our days. Sometimes they could be subtle, but in some cases, they can really knock loudly on our door.

In Mfly_88’s post called “Aww…how sweet!!” she posts about one such situation. It’s not her experience, but I’m positive you’ll enjoy this guy’s story.

That picture pretty much explains the story, but there’s more to it, so be sure to visit Mfly_88’s blog.

Who said romance is dead? It’s these kinds of things that make you realize that any day can be a super special day if you let it! ;)

In Stone_68’s blog called Stories of a precious Stone,  she talks about staying in Singapore for two weeks, and aside from the happy memories there, she talks about how happy it is seeing her puppy Heidi again!

Heidi has only been with them for 4 weeks, she tells us, and after only 2 weeks of not seeing her, she’s already a little bigger.

You can read more about this happy reunion and how her trip to Singapore went by reading her post! :)

Happy Mooncake Festival!

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Many people have celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival yesterday, I hope you had some delicious mooncake! Festivals are wonderful experiences, even if most people don’t know what they’re about! There are many variations of the festival’s story, if you have Chinese friends, maybe you could ask them about which version they know :P

Well in line with that, we have something from Lin in her post called “Mid-Autumn Festival!

Visit Lin-Z-Blog!

I admire how she found it in herself to be happy during the festival despite the fact that her grandpa is not with them.

But I know, he must spend this festival and see us somewhere, and he must be happy to see us.

Well if you want to see her picture of the moon, and the food they shared, visit her blog! Don’t forget to drop a line and welcome her, as she’s new to Sanriotown. :)

Now that’s the way to travel!

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Have you ever ridden a horse-drawn carriage? Do you imagine it to be weird, scary or romantic? I know when I was a kid, I’d think of it as something reserved for storybooks!

Today’s feature is from Girlinblue, in her latest post called “Carriage Ride” where she has her first time riding one!

I understand that where she’s from, it isn’t that uncommon to ride a carriage, how awesome!

There’s a detail about the story that I left out about her first carriage-ride experience, so visit her blog if you wanna find out. :P
