Depression
Is it possible for depression to have a good effect? Anger is considered as healing/needed. Can the same thing be said of this? I’ve been thinking about this for some time already. I think that at some point in time, every one experiences this feeling of extreme sadness coupled with strange emptiness. I know I have, not just once. Is it possible for depression to be healing? Is it possible to be a tool for recovery? Maybe once one focuses inwards, one will have the ability to understand his/her own emotions in such a way that s/he will be able to deal with it. Anyway, that’s just my thought. What’s yours? Technorati tags: depression

Depression could also be a stage wherein you can strengthen yourself. Preparing yourself for more difficult and harder challenges that you’ll be facing in the future.

I believe that it can be one way of healing. I experienced an almost severe depression about 3 years ago. The world that I knew just fell apart. That was a really tough time. BUT, now, I am all better and I believe stronger as an individual. You just have to go through it and learn from it.

as far a depression as a form of healing, i dont think ive quite experienced that effect yet. in my opinion, the most positive result of depression is ones appreciation for the rest of the time, the time you feel wanted, loved and content. without sadness, how would you know happiness? thats basically the only reason i haven’t opted for medication.
