Here’s a good picture I found on Wikipedia (which was a surprise for me). It’s such a strong image for me, maybe because it’s such a paradox: on one side, the surf is crashing, with the white foam produced as a result. On the other side is calm blue, as though there’s nothing different going on. What makes it even more spectacular is the clarity of the shot, so much that you can actually see the minute drops flying off as a result of the impact. You can practically see all the directions taken by every part of the wave, particularly the curl, where most of the things are happening in.
