Kite
It’s strange, but I seem to be reminiscing a lot these days for some odd reason. Another memory that popped in my head would be kite-flying. I never actually learned how to fly a kite, actually. I tried to, with my brother, but I just couldn’t seem to make mine get caught in the wind. It would, but only for a few feet, and then it would tumble down to the ground. I do remember watching people who flew kites by the beach though. They go there usually during summer or around October, and they’d decorate the skies with colorful things made of wood, paper, and plastic. It’s such a simple joy to watch. Do people still fly kites these days? It would be sad that they don’t, just because it seems people are slowly looking for bigger and brighter things to have fun with instead of enjoying the simple joys of life.

I usually see some kids fly kites with their parents at my old school. I think people still like to fly kites but the weather just doesn’t allow them.

As man continues to simplify living through technology, they make life more complicated, lossing the joys of simplicity.
