I don’t know what’s with the lotus flower that makes me like them so much. They’re not my favorite blooms (tulips for mer are prettier), but there’s something about these that draws me to them. This one’s pretty nice, because of the colored tips and pale center it has. 
I really like this photo, not only because of their visual beauty but in what they represent to me. The shot is nice, because it captures the colors in an awesome way, such that your eyes would be drawn to the flowers because of their vivid red-and-orange colors, but it doesn’t steal your attention from the whole picture. Symbolically for me, it just reminds me that there is beauty in the Cross, that while it may have been an object used to make Someone suffer even if He’s completely innocent, but out of that arose something wonderful for us. 
It’s pictures like this that make me want to stash my money into a “DLSR Camera Fund”. I love the details and the color. It may not seem much, but a shot like this cannot be achieved using a basic camera. Maybe a DSLR should be at the top of my must-buy things for this year (which is actually pretty big and steadily growing longer). 
Here’s one of those things that I wouldn’t believe in if I hadn’t seen a meteor shower myself. I just can’t believe that this would happen while the sun is bright and shining - but then again, it could just be a product of photo-editing. What do you think? Whichever way, I think that this picture is really nice, for its clarity and lighting, if not for anything else. 
This picture is a rare exception to my usual avoidance of bright colors (if you’ve noticed, I’m partial to shots that have a matte effect). Maybe the festivity is getting to me: after all, shiny stuff aren’t really seen as tacky during the holiday season as compared to other times of the year.:P
I think the reflection of the decorative glass balls in the back adds to the appeal of the picture, aside from the fact that the color combination of these four actually works.:)
