Which Hello Kitty character are you?

I made a fun little quiz to see which Hello Kitty character people are most like.  :)

So many pets…

November 18th, 2009 by flowerbunny:hellokitty.com

So little time.  :)

HKO has too many pets to choose from!  I really wanted a punch bunny… but now I’ve fallen in love with the pandachis and the pink elephants!  I know my OCD personality will demand that I collect them all!

I’ve still yet to do my pet hunt quests, though!  Once I get my wedding dress I will focus on those.  I also look forward to going back to Florapolis and Sanrio Harbor to help the new players out.

Bananas!

B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

I’ve hit the big 3-0

I’m not quite sure how I am able to bash beasts with a heart plushie.  Perhaps it is filled with rocks.

I can’t wait to get the wedding dress!  I’ve been leveling like mad to get it.  :)

More about pets…

November 18th, 2009 by flowerbunny:hellokitty.com

I left some things out in my other guide.   So here’s some more info.  :)

Pet bags:  You may have seen these at the pet merchant.  I had no idea what they were for (I figured it was a wand, but they are not.)  Some pets come with inventory space, however not all of the space is available.  That’s where pet bags come in!  They unlock the inventory space of pets.  I have a bramtail which has 5 inventory space, but 3 were locked.  I bought the small pet bag and it gave 2 inventory spaces.  I bought a second one and it freed up the last space.  So, if you need 2 spaces, buy the small bag.  If you need 3 or more, buy the big bag.

Pet Matching:  When in the area of a friendly pet, your pet will become happy.  It’s a great way to raise your pets comfort - just go to a city and find someone with a pet that your pet likes, and stand next to them for a bit.  Increasing your pets happiness will increase its stats.  Try to avoid pets that your pet doesn’t like, since this will make him unhappy.

Pet Breeding:  The merchant also offers a breeding service.  If you get the 2 pet cards the pet merchant requires, you can combine them to create a new pet… for a fee. Bred pets seem to have better stats and are more powerful than the regular pets.  Just know that you won’t get your original cards back.

Pet Food:  The best pet food I’ve found is in Florapolis.   There are some pet food recipes, but the time and expense required to make the food isn’t really worth it (at least in my opinion.)   The onion soup pet food recipe can be bought in Paris - it requires 10 tomatos, 10 onions, and 15 carrots.  That’s a lot of farming!  And only makes 3 treats.

Storing your pet:  If you have 2 or more pets “active” (meaning they are in your pet window),  be aware that you must feed all of them.  I almost lost my pinbee because I didn’t realize that having her in the other slot I still had to feed her!  To avoid this, you can put the pet you’re not using back into the card and keep it in storage - however, you should know that putting the pet back into the card will cause your pet to lose all the experience they have gained in that level.  (It won’t lose levels, it will just go back to the beginning of the level they are on.)

Just one more thing…  try to keep your pet very well fed and comfortable.  The better your pet feels, the more he’ll help you.  :)  (Especially in giving you more attack power.)

Pet Guide

A great thing about Hello Kitty Online is you can have a pet!

How to get a pet:  The beasts in HKO will sometimes drop a card.  The cards are rare, but if you get one you will be able to use that beast as a pet.  You can have almost any beast as a pet, including leaders.  You can only have 1 pet when you begin, 2 pets at level 20, and at level 30 you can have 3.

How to equip the pet:  You have to right click the card to equip it.  Then open up your pet window and click the card again.  You will now be followed around by your pet.  You can also rename it, if you wish.

Taking care of your pet:  If you don’t take care of it, your pet may run away.  You need to pet it, feed it, and clean it.  The pet will let you know what it needs through emotes.

This means your pet is hungry.  To feed it, right click pet food you buy at a pet food merchant.

This means your pet is stinky and needs cleaning up.  Right click the pet and choose the action that looks like a dustpan.

Don’t forget to pet your pet or he may get sad and lonely.

If you neglect to do these things, your pet might leave you.  But if you take good care of your pet he will appreciate you for it and be your friend forever!

A great housing guide :)

November 15th, 2009 by flowerbunny:hellokitty.com

I found this website today while looking for a Hello Kitty Online housing guide.  There really isn’t a lot of information available!  But this site from the beta was the most useful thing I found.

http://hko.forums.aeriagames.com/viewtopic.php?t=861

The houses in Hello Kitty Online are so cute!!  But many of them featured on that site are no longer available.  A guildie of mine has the windmill house… and I really set my heart on the Marzipan Mansion… but it’s no where to be found!  Not even in the item mall… and the farm/house merchants don’t sell housing certificates.

To top things off… today I found out I may have missed my chance at having the candy house, since I somehow did not complete the quest before heading to Beijing.  I have the Beijing Tower certificate… but can’t get the quest from Thomas for the candy house.  ???

So I’m a little disappointed.  Housing was one of the things I really looked forward to, but there’s not many options unless I buy one in the Item Mall - which aren’t even the same ones that use to be available in the merchants.  I hope they add more houses to the game.

Maybe one day.  :)  If not I’ll just enjoy the picture.

Finally reached level 25!

November 13th, 2009 by flowerbunny:hellokitty.com

Things have gotten a little easier to level.  :)  Been doing a lot of crafts for quests.

Just some advice:  Save your wood from the trees you grow in your farm.  In Beijing you’ll need it!

Notice anything unusual?

Here’s Thomas’ house.  I see 2 things that stand out.  =)

A good way to level…

November 12th, 2009 by flowerbunny:hellokitty.com

Don’t leave your skills behind.  =)  They are a great way to level.  I just got through level 23 by mining and chopping – and now have 2 new tools!  I also recommend mining, chopping, or gathering items that you’ll need to make future tools or items to help you level carpentry and other crafts.  =)

Meet Clowny!

November 12th, 2009 by flowerbunny:hellokitty.com

Here is my new pet.  =)  I got him from a piñata during Hello Kitty’s birthday event… and he has been hanging out in storage until now!

I didn’t realize that different pets give different bonuses.  I’ve had my pinbee for a long time, and although she’s level 18, the bonus stats she gives me are less than my new Bramtail pet!  Kinda funny.

Speaking of funny – I named my pet Clowny.  I love his big red nose.
