More on Mineral Make-up
Wednesday, August 1st, 2007The first brand of mineral make-up I stumbled upon was ID Mineral Bare Escentuals. I’ve been seeing it in fashion magazines like InStyle. Since I have sensitive skin and I love make-up so much, I was curious about it, but we don’t have stores here that sell that particular brand.
A few months ago at a bazaar, I saw a brand called Luminare. That was my first try with mineral make-up and I love it so much!
It’s true what they say about it, it’s so economical. A little would go a long way. Also, users will not have to keep on re-touching since it stays on the face not like other make-up that eventually “falls off” around the middle of the day.
When using mineral make-up, keep in mind that “less is more.” You’ll notice that when you buy, it’ll come in small amounts. You only need a few strokes from a decent brush (usually a kabuki brush) in order to achieve the desired results. Also, when applying, the more you use, the more it gets dark on your face or eyelids. So, be always aware of the amount you are applying on your face.
Now, I have tried the Bare Escentuals Tinted Mineral Veil, and all I can say is, “It’s perfect!” It gives that natural, sun-kissed glow on ones face. Perfect for all skin types and complexion.
I can’t wait to discover more about this wonderful cosmetics line. There are actually more and more brands appearing that specialize in mineralized formulas. Mineral make-up really is a life saver for those who love make-up but have sensitive skin.
