Chocolate Diamonds

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

Loop diamond earrings with an inner layer of more diamonds are “in” nowadays. It gives an illusion that the whole loop (both inner and outer) are encrusted with diamonds, but in reality it’s just the front and a part of the inner loop have diamonds.

If you look in jewelry shops, you will see a lot of variations of this style. There are different circular shapes, sizes and gold fills available. Also, it’s not just diamonds alone that fill the surface of the earrings but sometimes mixed with other precious stones.

If I were to get my own set or earrings, I prefer just diamonds. Lately though, there’s what they call natural color “chocolate diamonds.” It’s actually champagne colored and quite harder to find like pink and black diamonds. These colored ones adds up more options to my diamond fancy. :)

Here’s a nice pair with chocolate diamonds that glimmer at the front while white diamonds ice the back. Stunningly beautiful!

Lancome Destiny Cube

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Inspired by an 18th century Chinese secret box Gucci received as a present, this multi-faceted cube holds eye shadow on one side and a lipstick and gloss on the other. Throw it on the table as you would a pair of dice and let the symbols and words on box set the mood of the day for you: coquette, mysterious, jealous, a star, an angel, the Lancôme rose. You can have fun selecting the colors inside according to your sign. Available in two, limited-edition color palettes called Charisma (light pink lip products with brown and violet shadows) and Deep Fascination (red and burgundy lip products with light green and pale pink shadows).

This is an interesting handy make-up set with a creative concept in packaging. With beautiful color combinations, you can choose your own destiny. But of course, there are moments in which you cannot decide on what to use, so there are the symbols and words that can guide you in your quest to make yourself more beautiful.

Skull Compact Mirror by Madeline Beth

Isn’t this devilishly divine?

Glam punk meets rock ‘n’ roll at its best. This edgy skull icon with crossbones mirror compact is fully encrusted and hand set with Swarovski crystals. Pull out this glam mirror day or night and be the talk of conversation.

I have a lot mirrors in my bag. Whatever pouch I pick there’s a mirror of some sorts inside, from a powder compact mirror to a solo hand-held one. I was actually tempted to buy this one, but upon seeing the price I took a step back.

The pricey US$95 tag could set your purses into a fiery hell, but owning it could make you into an angelic diva. Which way will you go?

Grape Seed Oil

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

What is grape seed oil? It’s a light, odorless natural oil derived from Italian grape seeds, suitable for ALL skin types. Plus, it has many different uses. Grape Seed Oil is often used in salad dressings, hand creams, and massage oil – amongst other things.

Another kitchen item, grape seed oil also needs a spot in your bathrooms and cosmetic cabinets. Grape seed oil is also used to reduce stretch marks and as an eye cream substitute!

The oil is perfect for damaged or stressed tissues, possessing regenerative and restructuring qualities which allow better control of skin moisturization. Because of it’s high amount of Linoleic Acid, it is frequently used in beauty products for its anti-inflammatory, acne reduction, and moisture retention properties.
