Milk Bath

bathtub

It seems that women have been indulging themselves with milk baths for centuries. The milk baths were made legendary by Cleopatra. The milk and its derivatives contain lactic acid, which helps to exfoliate your skin.

A milk bath can be used to soften your skin and can just soothe your tired body. That means you’ve got beauty and therapy all rolled into one fix.

Here are some interesting recipes for everyone to indulge in:

Milk and Chamomile Bath

4 chamomile tea bags
2 cups whole milk
1 cup boiling water

Place the tea bags in the water for 30 minutes. Then remove the tea bags and mix the liquid with milk. Add to your bath water and soak your worries away.

Milk and Honey Bath

1/2 cup liquid honey
3 cups powdered milk
lavender buds (added for color and fragrance)

Combine the ingredients above in a large bowl and then transfer to a decorative glass bottle in your bathroom. This also makes a great and inexpensive gift idea.

Scoop out a luxurious amount of the milk bath and dissolve in a warm bath.

Mint Milk Bath

1 cup cornstarch
2 cups dry milk powder
4 tbsp. of your crushed mint leaves
1/2 cup sea salt

Crush dried mint leaves and then add to above ingredients. Spoon into a decorative jar and then add a generous amount to a warm bath.
