Good luck charms: fact or fiction?
Friday, July 6th, 2007Many people think of good luck and bad luck as myths. However, I see the reality in it. Symbols such as horseshoes and rabbit’s feet are thought of as good luck , while others think of objects that they had with them when something good happened as good luck. Some think that people are born lucky or unlucky, and some don’t believe in luck at all. I, however, believe that the belief that objects are good luck makes them good luck. Well, more or less. If someone has an object of some sort that takes them back to a time when they were happy, they may start to have a more positive outlook on life. Also, if someone believes that a traditional good luck charm (such as clovers, horseshoes, rainbows….) has good luck, they will begin to notice the good things that happen to them more than the bad things. Same with being born lucky. Do you agree?
