Gundam 0079: Card Builder
(Arcade version)
An arcade game featuring the Gundam 0079 universe. This uses real Gundam cards bought and inserted into the game machine to create your characters. When you insert your cards into plastic holders and place them on the large game grid screen screen, your personal pilot, weapon, mech, and abilities (all with “cost” features to balance out load-ins) are designed from the game scanning your cards. The gameplay then has you battling other players in the arcade (or outside, if hooked into a network), utilizing your placement and movement of cards on the grid in turn-based battles. Your aim, for instance, will depend on which direction your cards face and are placed on the grid, as do your movement and special techniques.

The game is definitely more challenging than the Mushiking terminals. Like the Gundam games in consoles, this will also entail a lot of thinking and strategy.
