Procrastination

Man. I’m supposed to be doing my chemistry homework AND make up work right now ._______. Don’t you hate it? That feeling where you know you have to do something but, you know you can do it later? And then you keep telling yourself, oh I’ll do it in a couple minutes, over and over again. Until you’re at your last hour and you really have to do it.

It sucks.

Sounds mouth watering doesn’t it? :] Well, I’m not much of a cook but it’s my favorite snack ^____^ Super simple too. I make them all the time :]

Ingredients:

  • Apples ( I use a little more than a fourth for one sandwich)
  • Bread
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon

Step One: Spread a little honey on one side of both pieces of bread. I like to microwave it for about 15 seconds to make the honey come out faster.

Step Two: Pop the bread in a toaster. This step is optional but I like doing it. I haven’t tried it without toasting it though.

Step Three:  While the bread is toasting start cutting up the apple. You can do it in slices or chunks.

Step Four: Put the apple slices/chunks into a bowl. Sprinkle some cinnamon on there and mix it up.

Step Five: By now your bread has probably finished toasting, if you toasted them. So grab them out of the toaster and smudge some peanut butter on them. I usually smear peanut butter on the non-honey side.

Step Six: Put it all together!

Step Seven : Devour.  :]

Painless Piercing.

This time at least .____. If you read my last blog, I told you guys I’d be getting my belly button pierced today. & I did about, an hour ago. I’m not the type to tolerate much pain. First of all, I’ll explain my first time I got it pierced.

It was the summer of ‘05; I was fourteen. I was vacationing in Hawaii on my own visiting family. Turns out, every single one of my female cousins 13+ had gotten theirs pierced already. Two of my cousins already had double tongue piercings. One day, we were driving around Waikele. I decided to do it. On the car ride there, I tried to play it off like it was nothing. I kept thinking, oh, mom will never find out. It’ll be just a little prick and I’ll be out of there. But, it was so much more. I was getting it done at a hair salon where they did piercings occasionally. This big bulky man comes out and remembers one of my cousins as a previous customer. All he asks is who and what is going to be done. No parentals necessary. My hands start to tremble as he gathers his supplies. Just a needle, a small somewhat clamp, Vaseline, and cotton balls. He had me standing up against the wall. He marked a spot about 3cm above my belly button. He swabs a bit of  Vaseline over it and inside my naval. The clamp; cold steel, it surround the dot. I look straight ahead as he puts in the needle. A strong stinging pain engulfs my stomach.  More and more, what was 30 seconds seemed like half an hour. I can feel the stainless steel barbell running threw me. It was over, he wiped off the excess. He told me to sit, as some people tend to faint after this procedure. Light headed. I sat there for about tree minutes. He asks for the money and returns up stairs. There it was, red. Still hurting; I barely moved.

I lost my barbell in at my friends pool party. Yeah, eventually my mom found out about it. On the same day my auntie was getting married. She was enraged. She got over it though. She knows about it this time, her boyfriend is a surgeon and he did it for me.

It was in my moms bed. As I lift up half my shirt, his hands are as cold as ice. My mom, standing there watching. He swabs a blue liquid around my stomach. She brings out a bottle; in big bold letters labeled morphine. He brings out a syringe. He injects it into the scar once left behind my first piercing. A small sharp pain; then after that, nothing. He opens up a package containing surgical needles and thread. I can barely feel anything. Only the movement of the needle going through me. It bled a little. As of right now, I still feel nothing. I’m not allowed to touch it though. He kept the thread in there leaving its place.

I plan to get a stainless steel spiral this week. (:
