I really am starting to hate MMORPG’s. It’s not so much the games but the people and the drama that goes along with them.

For the most part video games are my coping mechanism, my hobby, my relax time, my fun time. I play them with friends both online and local, they take up the majority of my week.

Recently I’ve had nothing but issues with all of them, and there are quite a few to list but I won’t bore you with that. These issues all stem from the same problem and end in the same result every time no matter the game.

I’m never tangled up in the mess, but I always watch my friends lose other friends or start hating each other, and then they try pulling me into the middle. I watch best friends who have grown up together learn to hate each other over a piece of armor..It leaves me speechless most of the time, other times I can’t help but go off on the both of them or all of them for being so stupidly immature, in most cases these are all grown men afterall.

It used to be so care free, so fun, nothing mattered but hanging out with each other and I can’t put my finger on why it is things have changed so suddenly everywhere!

I really think maybe I should just stop playing them and get a new hobby, but I know even then it’s not really solving anything unless I can talk them all into changing hobbies aswell in which case—— fat chance.

HKO hasn’t had that problem for me yet but it’s bound to. Drama happens and it’s part of life I know, but it still bothers me to watch digital money and clothing cause years of friendship and love to break apart. Not to mention the whole “You can’t be my friend if you’re HIS friend!”.. It’s just stupid..

On a side note.. my farming guide is so.. so out of date especially with the new system..Like woah..

OH! I bought a “MyEpets ReascuePet” the otherday. I’m brand new to it and don’t have any friends yet, so if anyone is willing to add me or would like to be my friend on MyEPets.com please let me know I’d really appreciate it it’s so lonely! Besides I could really use something other then an MMO to socialize on! lol

If you were in the guild HKOFounders, or if you weren’t it doesn’t matter, we are all HKO founders. We should all be proud of the money we raised, of the friendships we forged, and of the cooperation we had with the GM’s to make this a truely remarkable game.

There’s a way to go for sure to make this outstanding, but I think even right now it’s a cute little piece of Heaven for any Sanrio fan and in only two BETAs it’s grown quite a bit.

We all did a fantasic job! There were some roughspots, some rumor spreading, some HILARIOUS drama, but thats all part of an MMO-rpg or otherwise, so we might aswell shrug it off and carry on because non of that is important anymore and it shouldn’t be even when it hits. Overall though, you know what? Everyone got along pretty darn well so pat yourselves on the back!!

Now, what I’d like to do in this post, is point out some of the great moments in the HKO Founders BETA, and some of the things that made it really special.

Lets get to it!

The GM’s :

The GM’s in HKO are all pretty great. They have their ups and downs like any human being. In HKO though, we are quite lucky. We have GM’s who are always willing to talk and treat you like a human, who are willing to not look down on or at you but keep it all eye to eye.

I remember getting stuck once, and the GM rather then just getting my PM and fixing it without a word, actually sat there and talked and joked with me despite being bombarded with a bunch of other PM’s until it was fixed.

I also remember just sending PM’s to say hi or that things were going great and they always responded openly, kindly, and even seemed happy to hear it, rather then brushing me off or acting as though it meant nothing.

There were quite a few that stood out to me specificly, who always made me feel warm and fuzzy. So here are the honorable mentions for the GM crew.

GM-Abby- So light, warmhearted, caring, patient, funny, open, sweet, energetic, and trustworthy.

GM-Mickey- Mickey is very honest, kind, shy but not afraid to answer questions and joke around a bit, Mickey will never treat you as anything other then an equal.

GM-Wayne- Patient as patient can be and oh boy did that come in handy sometimes. Reliable, quick, honest, straight forward but always mainting kindness.

These were the three that REALLY made a difference in the game to me not in any order because they’re all great for their own reasons.

The Zones/cities/areas. :

Of all of the places to go and things to do, London was easily my favorite. Paris might have been but it was so lonely! For farming or wandering or just bonking things on the head, The WindyPathway was my favorite. I just hope that someday we’ll get a snowy zone!!

Fashion and Equipment :

Oh umm.. There were alot of nice rare drops to get and clothes to purchase and wear. I can’t say I had a favorite cause I loved running around in my underwear. The Medical mask was pretty neat though!

Cutest or Favorite monsters:

Crabs OMG crabs.. I loved the crabs, in CB and FB, they still are and will always be my favorites. Pets wise the sheep was my favorite but I never got one ;_;.

Guilds/Communities:

Haha ok.. I know this is a sensitive subject. There was alot of drama that happened with some guilds and I wont say names it’s none of my business and I’m not getting into it but I do need to point out one thing. Please remember this in upcomming years of HKO;

One or even ten peoples actions do not account for all people or persons within a guild. If you have a problem with a few people from a guild that DOES NOT mean the rest of the guild are like them so please do not generalize.

If you remember this you’ll make alot more friends and have alot more fun and save yourself from alot of stress and drama. That being said there were two guilds that every member I had come across were incredibly kind, and were just there to have fun. Those were the TwinStars, and the CharmmyKitty’s.

The rest of this post will be and is dedicated to the loving family that was my guild. I was absolutely honored to be apart of it, they made such a difference in my life when I was happy and when things were a bit rough. Here’s to you guys!!

HKOFounders Guild:

I almost died laughing when I read this. I dodn’t even know what was going on or why it was said but taken out of context it was hilarious.

Not only do I agree, but this was in my opinion the funniest quote out of the entire game for me.

This was another one that had me rolling on the floor. It still does when I read it. Oh man.. I don’t even want to know how many oats everyone farmed XD

Please only read the next one if you’re in or out of highschool =P. I’ve said some terrible things in game but sometimes I couldn’t help it, like in this convorsation. It’s just me indirectly hitting on Kenman again. Oh I should probably explain where this came from, we were building a house and I swear to you he DOESN’T run out of stamina, he has like endless snacks or something but he was also lvl 30 at the time with good gear lol.

We love you too Ayumin, you were fun to hang out with and talk to and were an important part of the family! All of HKOF were very loving and open and we got along great, I’m glad to have met all of you.

Yes we were happy that we won, but we worked hard for a good cause, and I’m glad everyone in HKO worked hard for that cause, and it’s just great to know that the Sanrio fans made a difference. Serenity and JamJam. These two were absolute pillars in our guild. Hearts of gold, they were funny, kind, always willing to help, they worked their BUTTS off to do anything they possibly could for HKOFounders and even people they didn’t know and had never spoken to. They had helped me MANY times. If I sat here for a year and tried to think of one bad thing to say about them I simply couldn’t. It’s not possible. By the way don’t they have awesome fashion sense?

Kenman- You were the crazy, funny, robot that we desperately needed. You never stopped going and anytime we had a question you were there to answer it.

Serenity- You were almost like a mom to us (don’t kill me for saying that!) . You gave alot of guidance and help throughout the game and you worked damned hard for everyone.

JamJam- OMG you kept me laughing the entire time, you always made me feel warm and fuzzy, and I knew you were always someone we could count on.

For right now I’ll give you a tiny guide, Im hoping to do this later with graphics, but for right now this is all I can manage.

I know alot of you are losing your strawberry seeds and this is very disheartening, well.. WAIT A SECOND AND DON’T PLANT A THING!! Let me give you some basics. ^__^

Seeds unless stated otherwise come in sets of 10. Strawberry seeds you can never get again so be careful with them.

Plants will die eventually. It’s ok!
First off…One VERY important thing you need to know is that your farm can be PAUSED. That way when you leave the game or you’re away or busy on a quest, you don’t lose harvesting opportunities. However when your farm is on “pause” you will not be able to harvest because nothing will grow ofcourse! So please when you are ready to start harvesting remember to turn the pause button off.

Ok Step one..How to pause! ::

Where the map usually is when you’re running around, you’ll see that there is an icon you can click to drop down a menu. On that menu there is a little set of gears, those are your farm settings! Once you find that gear, click it and a window will pop up with a few options. On the right side of that menu there will be a box to check or uncheck that says “Pause”.

When you’re ready to farm!:: Uncheck that box and wait around for your plants to grow!

When you leave your farm:: , infact EVERY TIME you leave your farm, go back into the menu and check that box to pause the farm. If you don’t you’ll miss the harvesting cycles of your plants and they’ll die before you get anything from them!

———————————Ok now that pausing is out of the way—–

Fertalizing/Fertalizer::

Every seed you get will require a certain amount of fertilization. When you hover your cursor (mouse) over the seeds it will tell you how much it requires to grow, and how much it will take out of the fertalization.

For instance if you have a seed that REQUIRES 10 fertalization, and DECREASES fertalization by 2, you will need a spot that has no less then 10 fertilization. In order to INCREASE the over all amount of fertility in a piece of land, fertalize that exact spot a few times until the desired number is reached. In order to see the amount of fertility in that little square of land, hover your mouse over it and look up near the farm menu and it will tell you the exact number for that little spot. Give it a try when you’re ready to plant but not yet!

(NOTE!: After a plant has been harvested for it’s last time and withers away, the fertalized land will decrease the amount previously stated by that plant. So if strawberries decrease fertility by 2, then a piece of land that started out at 10 for fertility will fall to only 8 after the strawberries die.)

Fertalizer comes in several forms, you can mine it out of Fossil rock, or you can buy it in London. You’ll be given 50 free fertalizer to start farming when you get the proper quest. Be stingy if you don’t want to end up buying it again, or be ready to mine your heart out on Fossil rock because you cannot grow without proper fertalizer.

How do you fertalize? Well I’ll explain..Open up your back pack (inventory) inside you’ll see these little tiny adorible poops! Right click that once with your mouse, then move the mouse over your farm in the desired area. Fertalizer will only fertalize a 3 by 3 plot of land, the spot you choose to fertalize will be the CENTER of that 3 by 3 land. I’ll give an example below.

Where the blue box is, is where I clicked to fertalize, the green boxes are the surrounding fertalized spots that create the 3 by 3 fertalized zone any time you fertalize, and the red will represent the rest of the farming ground. Also please only look at image number one right now.

(HINT: It’s easier to plant and fertalize with the grid on, you get the grid by clicking the drop down menu and then the magnifying glass. Click it again anytime you want the grid to go away.)

NOTE: How you fertalize is your decision ofcourse! All of it is, but I highly reccomend you continue reading just to see different options on how to fertalize and plant!

Planting!:: Planting can be a bit tricky..For planting you will need specific fertalization methods. For instance if you’re planting trees you won’t be planting them the same way you would plant a shorter crop like strawberries. So I’ll explain “Tall crops” and “Short crops” seperately.

Lets start with the “Tall crops”. Scroll back up and take a look at image number 2. The Blue represents where the trees were planted, the green represents LEFTOVER fertalized spots. As I explained fertalizer will make a 3 by 3 patch in other words, a square of nine plots.

It’s probably best you plant your trees in a single row. The reason for this, is that if you have them in a clump, three rows of three, you wont be able to easily target and harvest them and may lose crops. Because of this it’s easier to waste just a tiny bit of fertalizer and plant them in a nice long row next to each other. Seeds come in sets of 10, so you’ll have one left over that you can plant at either end as I did in the picture, or heck why not save it! If you’re planting multiple rows of trees, please leave yourself atleast 2 spaces between the rows for easy harvesting!.

Also.. never plant a tree DIRECTLY next to a “Short crop” like strawberries, it’s a pain to target, just don’t do it for your own peace of mind.

—–OK! On to “short crops”! Don’t worry guys we’re almost done!!!

Lets refer to image number three. Same thing goes as the last. Blue is where you’ve planted, green are left over fertalized spots. For short crops you can plant them where ever and how ever you like, in a row, or in a box of nine it’s perfectly fine! Oo I rhymed. The only thing I can say is keep them away from tree’s to avoid targeting issues. I personally think short crops are funnest to do in squares of nine then rows like trees. You can plot them all right next to each other too. So if you have 3 sets of seeds feel free to mush em all together cause you can run right over them to harvest them! Short crops are super easy!

ITS THE HOME STRETCH TAKE A MINUTE TO BREATHE!!

Ok ready? breaks over back to work!

Lets get to the mechanics of gathering!

Harvesting crops—-

When you’re reayd to gather fruit you need to sit right inside your farm with it UNPAUSED. Wait patiently for the crops to apear before your very eyes! Don’t worry it doesn’t take long at all.

As soon as the plants come to fruit (or vegetable XD) step up to them, target the plant like you would any gatherable item in the Sanrio world, right click it, and click the gather button. Like any gatherable item you’ll be able to do this a few times but not many. Once it wont let you gather anymore just sit and wait for the fruit to come back, it happens really fast. Then just repeat over and over!

Each plant has a life span, a certain number of times it can go through a harvesting cycle before it dies. So if it turns brown and won’t give you fruit thats ok, it’s all a part of it’s natural life in Sanrioland!

ONE FINAL NOTE!

Trees will give you two options.. to gather wood or to gather fruit, only gather the fruit. If you gather wood from it too many times it will dissapear and never come back, you will nto be able to get all the fruit you want or need out of it. So UNLESS you want the wood specificly never ever touch the woodcutting button.

In order to get rid of dead plants- right click them and THEN you can hit the wood cutting button. After a few time’s they’ll dissapear and you can replant that spot with something else.

If you have any further questions please feel free to ask me anything! Play with your farm anbd find out whats right for you! Just because this is how I do things doesn’t mean you have to do it this way, it’s simply what I’ve found to work best for me! =D

Been playing for a while, having a great time! Closed Beta was fun but this seems alot more full. The people are great, we have an awesome communtiy, anyone who’s not playing you better gear up! Once Open beta is up I hope to see you all there! You know what they say “The more the merrier!”. I tend to agree with that saying.

Some things I’ve seen that I love:

Monsters won’t just drop materials and quest items, they will also on rare occasion drop gear or accesories for you to dress in.

The animals are THE ABSOLUTE cutest little critters I’bve ever seen!

Farming is addictive and charming as all get out once you figure it out, and guess what!? You can pause your farm!!!! Plants grow and spring up fast so theres very little wait for anything!

Chatting and making friends is easy, anyone is willing to help out, our GM’s are very very friendly and willing to talk like they’re anyone else. They’re not ominous or overbearing like in alot of MMO’s they don’t play the “high and mighty” card and they’re sweet as sugar cubes!

Oo. Been a long time since I last posted. Been doing alot and keeping up with alot of stuff. Enjoying alot of new games and things online and otherwise. Discovered new flavours I like, those being Taro ((OMGDELICIOUS)) and pandam ((SOGOOD))!

I’ve continued to collect and love Sanrio merchandise, but recently I’ve fallen inlove with PomPomPurin and really need to start getting some merchandise with that cute little face on it.

The year has had it’s ups and downs, I was very ill for a very very long period of time, all through the Winter and most of the Spring. I’m glad to say I’m doing much better and much healthier. I even dyed my hair pink and black this year, thinking about Kuromi and all the pink and black Kuromi merchandise I’ve collected. I’m pretty happy with it, well really happy with it!

I’ve even got to take part in the HKO beta testing by some miracle, some great stroke of luck. I’m having a BLAST with that, it’s alot more amazing then I already thought it would be!  It’s surpassed my expectations already and I can’t wait to see whats instore for it in the future. When Open Beta comes out I really reccomend you giving it a shot! Especially if you’re a die hard Sanrio fan like myself.

Boy I really need to post more and keep in touch with the Hellokitty blogging community.

I seem to be playing this game alot lately. I’ve had it since october of 2006, and used to play on a older character on someone elses account, that being my husbands. I never really got THIS into it though it’s surprising, once you hit a certain landmark in the game it’s like you can’t stop playing it.

For those that don’t know. Finalfantasy 11 or more commonly known as FFXI, is a MMORPG, a massively multiplayer online role playing game. It’s based off of a long running game franchise.

This version is far more like the older versions of the franchise, that being 1-6, and manages to slip from the overly predictable and cliche characters that ruin the games now, from 7-10 and 10-2. Many like these newer versions, perhaps because they are more linear thus easier to play, or they’re simply a fan of the storyline that seems to be the main plot for every recent game and there’s nothing wrong with that. Heck I’ve played over 3000 hours on pokemon I have no where to talk. Needless to say though in a world of unoriginality in videogames, this is a breathe of fresh air.

This is not a game for those who prefer to play alone and only randomly group with friends, this game is all based on friendship and community, which perhaps is why I like it so much. You have to work together to progress, you have to be nice, you have to be polite, and you have to care for everyone else to an extent. You work together through most of the game, leveling up, quests, missions to progress your ranking, getting items you may need, or just for fun fishing on some lake out in the middle of nowhere.

The job system, if you’re used to or firmiliar with the older games, is very similar, or if you liked tactics you’ll love this system aswell. You have the ability to on one single character level up and max out every job they have available, you get to choose two at a time, a main job and one to support you. It’s a difficult game but one worth the time and effort.

I myself play a Mithra as a white mage (healer but I’m gonna switch to bard soon), it’s sort of a catgirl but more cat then girl, they’re fuzzy and have cat noses, ears, and tails. They roll their r’s as if purring when you talk to a non player character (npc) and they’re over all very cat-like, they’re incredibly adorible aswell.

I just can’t seem to tear myself away..My animal crossing friends must hate me by now! Anyway, out for now, take care, I have to go finish patching the new expansion!

I’m not entirely sure what to think of this, it’s complicated in a way but I really like it. I’ve read a couple of other people’s blogs so far and you know what? I really liked it. I actually found interesting topics, interesting photos, and overall just things to keep my attention. Alot of other blogs that I’ve used, well they don’t have these things. The people either just complain or beg for attention in various ways, they also tend to be very moody. It’s not like that here and I find that comforting. I like the Sanrio blogging community, I look forward to reading more blogs and being more interactive with them aswell.

I can’t promise that I’ll be able to provide wonderfully interesting things, but I’ll definately try!
