Director's Club Interviews: Mickymic4
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007
Our feature for this week involves one of our most dedicated directors here in Dream Studio. We have an interview with Mickymic4, and have included here one of her videos entitled “Nature…“. This is just one of her many great videos, with nice themes and full use of effects. Let’s take a look at her video and read what she has to say.
DC: What was the message behind your video, “Nature…”?
M: The message behind my video is about appreciating nature and loving our surroundings. It is about being grateful for what mother nature has given the world and to us. Although, I thought about how some beautiful places has its own history. For example, the tsunamis…once a place is destroyed it will be fixed in about a year. Even though the place has been fixed, it still has a story from everyone in it, so I’m proving to everyone that places and other natures is very valuable to the world.
DC: What inspired you to make your videos?
M: What got me inspired to make videos are the other videos of Dream Studio. I saw other people commenting on other peoples’ videos, so I thought that once I make a video other members will also comment on mine. I also know that I’ll get opinions and that will help me improve on my work, which is making videos. What got me inspired on this video, “Nature…”, is my mom and her garden. She has so many flowers and vegetables that I decided to dedicate a video about nature for her.
DC: Would you recommend using Dream Studio to your family and friends?
M: Yes, of course…they’ll know how exciting it will be to make a video and especially finishing it and how people would comment on it. They’ll get a feeling that a have accomplished a mission.
DC: Will you make another Dream Studio video again soon? When?
M: Definitely YES! I love making videos. Now that I’ve been invited on this club, I know I’ll be making more videos and working harder so that the people on Dream Studio are entertained. I think I’ll make one soon as I finish answering all these questions!!
DC: Do you have dreams of directing films in the future?
M: Maybe, but I wouldn’t really focus on that all my life I have other dreams and I’m hoping to accomplish that dream. I think it will be fun though to direct a film.
DC: Do you think Dream Studio can be a good training ground for directing?
M: Just a little, because it will be more difficult to direct in a real show or movie. (50/50)
DC: What topics do you mostly like to make videos about?
M: I like topics that are mostly about nature, especially flowers…also Sanrio characters, mostly my favorite ones, and I’m also thinking of doing a video of my family. Mostly in every video I make I dedicate it to a special person, and that’s my only reason why I make a video. But also to entertain people.
DC: How has Dream Studio helped you to express yourself?
M: It helped me express myself by making a video that is about my favorite thing or even person.
DC: Have other users’ comments helped you?
M: Yes. Usually, it’s nice and good comments so that actually helps me be more determined to do another GREAT video.
DC: Are there videos from other users that you enjoy?
M: Not that I know of. Mostly a lot of people make Miley Cyrus videos, and I liked one of them. I also liked a video that’s also about nature!
DC: Do you look at other peoples’ videos for ideas and for inspiration?
M: No…because that wouldn’t make the video express me, and I know that I’m inspired on MY OWN ideas.
DC: Do you have any suggestions on how Dream Studio can be improved?
M: Actually, I posted a topic on a forum in Sanriotown about suggestions from users. Users can put there suggestions there to make Sanriotown improve including Dream Studio. A suggestion from me that I sent to one of the editors was…let Sanriotown members vote between four Dream Studio videos chosen by the editor(s). The two videos that has the most votes wins as the “Sanriotown video pick of the week.” The winners should get a special price such as Kitty points.
DC: Are there any tips you can give to Dream Studio users?
M: Just have fun making your video, and just work hard make it as good as possible.
