Today is the Stitch N Pitch game. I have my big ol’ Hello Kitty bag (from my wish list) packed with blankets and knitting projects, bus fare for my daughter and money to fill the bag with more stuff. I am excited!! My friends will meet me at work since I have to be here until 5 in the evening.
I bought my laptop too. It is so nice to have a working computer in the house again. I have TWO computers that do not work. One is in the basement, the other is under my desk- Actually that one does work a little, it comes up in safe mode, but the monitor has died. My dad built that one…. It is kinda heartbreaking to tell him that the computer he was so proud of building for my daughter and I was not working right. So I use it to charge PDA’s and MP3 players.
Anyhoosen- I did buy a laptop skin, but it was not Hello Kitty. I know- how horrible. I bought one with a picture of Optimus Prime from Transformers Armada. I loved Transformers when I was growing up and when the movie came out, I didn’t expect it to be so good. I loved Bumblebee, and had a slight weird crush on him. I can’t explain that one. Actually I can, but I won’t. I must go now before I reveal another secret that will make you go “WTH?”.

I am going to buy a new laptop this Wednesday! I am so excited! That means that I can wipe one item off my wish list- the Hello Kitty laptop skin. Why am I more excited to get this than the computer itself? The laptop is a no frills model, I really don’t need too many bells and whistles- just get me online, allow me to create documents, sync my Treo and MP3 player and I am cool.
The Stitch N Pitch is coming up this Thursday. I have our blankets cleaned, (Hello Kitty of course) and bought my daughter new knitting needles for kids, that are shorter and easier for her to use. She knows how to knit, but really won’t knit unless I hold a carrot over her head. I have my project thought out and bought the yarn. We are looking forward to the game, even though the tickets ended up costing me way more moolah than I expected. Darn “convenience fees”! They ain’t convenient. But I’ll be fine.
