Sunshiny Day
Yesterday was a gorgeous day! I was going to take a trip to EM to pick up a few records from the bargin bin, but went home instead. I decided on the way home to take my daughter to the park and enjoy the sun and knit a little. I open my mailbox and what should I see? My Knit.1 magazine! It was like Christmas. I was so excited. My daughter and our friend Goofball went to the park and it was soooo nice to just feel the sun on my legs, watch my daughter and the kids play, talk to a friend and then KNIT! That is the way life should be.
This weekend is the Folklife Festival- I think it is supposed to be warm again. If it rains, I think it will be kinda fun. I like the rain when I have someplace to go home to and get warm.
The University District Street Fair was last weekend, and we have gone since I was 14- which was a while ago. But now, my family really looks forward to Folklife. There is so much food and little booths with pretty things. Last year I bought my first skien of banana silk yarn. It was just so…. sexy. I still have the yarn in my plastic space saver bag. I just can’t figure out what to make with it- sometimes yarn is just more pretty in skien form. I was thinking that maybe the guy selling the yarn will be there again and I will find a nice color to go along with it and make a bag or something. We will see.
