What I got for Christmas…

Almost there…

iPod Classic 80GB n_n

Anorexic iPod.

N73 is not famed for taking good pics.

iPod Classic 80GB
Cons:
- Need iTunes 7. I don’t have!
- Have to convert .avi, the most common video files, to .mp4. Tiring Job! But now that we have iPod_video community in LJ… ;)
- Relatively smaller LCD screen, e.g. when compared to Zune.
- Menu control somewhat a bit sluggish.
- May stutters when multi-tasking.
- Earbuds quality. Okay, I didn’t spot this, the professional reviewers did, but everytime I look at them now, they scream mediocrity :[
- Metal backside prone to scuffs.
- Might get into trouble when my dad reclaims his iTunes 7-installed laptop.
- Not available in soft pink / strawberry red color :[[

Pros:
+ Large file storage. 80GB = your own personal skinny hard drives.
+ iPod Classic 80GB = $ 249, iPod Nano 4GB = $169 …

+ Battery life: 5 hours video and 30 hours music. With no backlight. IRL, the battery runs out faster.
+ Awesome quality movies!
+ Large file storage. Rawr.
+ 1161 songs and full-length audiobooks, 343 photos and 75 videos (not including songs from my old mac) = current free space 56.7 GB.
… Still a best buy for my case.

Or is it?

the nameless monster (woot)

Ok. Bad reference to the super thrilling manga, ‘Monster’, which you really should give a try. [/end of advertisement]. Will elaborate on future entries.

Tim Kang is an American-born Korean actor who played the role of an Asian soldier in Rambo IV along with Sylvester Stallone.

I’ve always found it interesting how a small part in big budgeted movies can give previously unknown actors the recognition they all deserve (Kang’s picture wasn’t even Google-able -_-). Sometimes, they even manage to outshine the lead actor in process.

Like, you know, how the new future hubby of mine, Ashraf Barhoum practically stole the movie from Jamie Foxx in ’The Kingdom’.

Definitely wins hands down. Acting-wise I mean.

Back to Kang. I like his few scenes in Rambo IV, especially the one [SPOILER] with him spitting on the ground when held at gun point- dude, I wonder who cleaned it [/End of SPOILER]. He has this vibe that reminds me of So Ji Sub. If you know who the latter is…? Memories of Bali? I’m Sorry I Love You? Yep, that one.

Anyho, talk about gory Sweeney Todd, Rambo IV is a bloodbath! Eww. Definitely not recommending it if you have a dinner plan afterwards :X The new and possibly last installment classifies as a ”Plot, what Plot?” genre, with a record-breaking of 236 bloody, bombed, mutilated deaths throughout. My mum thinks that the killings were cool. Eh.

For a 60 something actor, Stallone was really fit, nevermind his steroid filled muscles. Still, I like him much better in Rocky Balboa. And have I mentioned he was brilliant in the reality boxing tv show, ‘The Contender’? :)

… Goodies?

Uploaded it for you, you and you. The super awesome musical, Sweeney Todd, easily one of the best movies of all times, as I see it anyway. Mp4 files for iPod & iTunes.

And the songs ‘Johanna’ and ‘Pretty Women’ (starts at minutes 2:40) from the movie.

…..

P.S. Exactly when did blog turn into a movie and download links filled blog again? 0.o

P.P.S. I seem to always have a thing for long boring entries *lol* bear with me pls.

P.P.P.S. this really is a movie blog O.O

Of pop corn and Osim massage chair lovers

My family and I got to watch a special screening of Rush Hour 3 premiere on 8th of August, held on Genting International Showroom! :D I reckoned there were probably around 400+ people in that room, even on a midnight showing. Gosh, it was a quite nice experience, minus the non-Osim, I mean the non-cozy chair of course (my you-know-where still hurts XDD).

So, Rush Hour 3. I have watched the series ever since I was a little kid, if truth be told, I am a big Jackie Chan fan (haha. don’t laugh it’s not even remotely funny *makes straight face*):P Anyhow, the duration felt too short, but we had fun laughing!! I will admit though, the story line is pretty cheesy and gets cheesier in exponential rate, instantly bore us with its silly and overused plot (been there, done that *yawn*). Yet, this is conviniently covered with the jokes, that are granted lame ones (what is your name? my name is Yu. No what is your name?!?!), but maybe that fact is covered by something else since the audience, when not laughing, they.. funny I actually did not know what they do instead of laughing and laugh some more O_O”

So, one of the plus points from RH3 is that, you will or might have a good laugh 70% throughout the movie. Jackie-Tucker pairing is hilarious, and seeing how Tucker has to bear his often stupid lines and some sirius-ly lame jokes in both words and action (Michael Jackson impersonation -_-”), I wonder how one could still get it done. George, the french taxi driver is also adorable! For a minute, I thought there would be a crossover between Rush Hour and Taxi haha.

Well not stopping until that.

If you thought that Rush Hour 3 is the only thing in France this summer, you are so wrong. In the heart of Paris, I found this too, no no this one is a li’l bit smaller in size and tastier,,, =D

Ah yes…

Ratatouille!

Bon appétit!
The strawberries, cheese, gourmet rat, Martha Stewart kinds of grand kitchen and Eiffel Tower. It is all enough to make you love to eat, I mean, watch Ratatouille, literally a kind of food in French.

Ratatouille: vegetable dish consisting of onions, zucchini, tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers, fried and stewed in oil and sometimes served cold.

Based on my unbelievably useful Apple dictionary :D

Sounds (and looks) very yummy. I love the French song, Le Festin sang by Camille and composed by Michael Giacchino. Have I told you that I am love-struck with Giacchino’s music composition in LOST? Yes, LOST as in one of my fave TV show :D Le Festin is a beautiful and fun song, even if it’s in incomprehensible French, at least for non French speakers, one excellent example: like me.

The movie is very funny and sad and delicious looking at the same time, but do bring food and pop corn if you are watching, that is if you do not wish to drool over the scenes and leave the cinema in great danger of famine XDD

I am looking forward to watching~ Stardust.

Based on a fantasy novel by Neil Gaiman, from what I have gathered from the trailer, it looks pretty neat and enthralling! 8DD

p.s: I just realised that Sanriotown blog has a coding system to open and close tags, insert image and stuffs o.O! I did not know that and always type the code myself (so tiring) oh well, silly me!

till I blog again :D,

the greasy git

Alan Rickman is a british actor notably known for his role as Professor Severus Snape in Harry Potter movies. If you recall, he was also the unfaithful prime minister’s brother in law in Love Actually. My mom noted too that he was in earlier series of Die Hard.. which gave back a faint memory, wasn’t he the villain who died falling off from the building he hijacked? Well, so much for trying to outdo John McClaine :D Now now, I find it so hard to believe that Alan Rickman is already 61 years old!! o_O” Gah. Watching him in HP, I would never, never have guessed that… Maybe it’s the wig.. or because Snape is supposed to be only 37 in the last book?

-_-”

Apart from the age bit thou’, Rickman is just perfect for the role. He’s got the silky voice, which so belongs to Snape,, the hooked nose, plus perhaps the greasy black hair (already so much improved in the last movie, lol). He is just way underrated with Snape’s lack of screen time in HP, and he got like, 2 chapters in Deathly Hallows! Most horribly, I suspect many of those heartbreaking scenes will be done by Alec Hopkins and other kiddie as the young Severus *sobs* ;_; If the director somehow decides to cut short the scene for The Prince’s Tale, I will kill him myself so he better do it right XDDDDD

…I don’t know about you guys, but I have always found Snape to be really hot. Lalala. And no, me saying this is totally unrelated with the fact that he is my most favorite Harry Potter character!! =)

I guess I have developed some sort of fetish for older men (no big news, or even ‘news’ if that matters, but still..). Shoot, I am mental.

*sweat some more* -_-”"

Can anyone guess who the girl beside Snape in the 1st pic is? They are one helluva adorable couple in HP, or at least in the world of fanfiction and Harry Potter AU*. I love Sev :]

*: Alternate Universe

I had an edge..

Well, seems like I may have found it again.. in my second exam haha :P
Bubye freaky-exams and welcome sunny holidays!!! =D

So here are some updates!! I have got myself a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (please, please *begging voice* ,,,do not be bored by my HP crazed =p). Actually my dad bought it for me.

yay! I have read one chapter today. Again, no-spoiler mode: ON >D

This is the little bunny ribbon that I bought last holiday, in Lovely Lace, easily my favorite cuties shop ever!!!! :D

Remember the cube game, which Will Smith played in “The Pursuit of Happyness”?!?! Speaking of which, gosh such a moving movie that one!! ~Well, here is the famous amos Rubic’s Cube. This picture shows the very first time when I could successfully arrange one side of it. So hard o. I picked yellow for that is my mom’s favorite :3

I am in playing mood, so yet another game - scrabble!! Seriously, and do not cry yeah, but my whole life I played scrabble only twice (right, I am indeed pathetic! lol) - the first time I played, I lost to my dear bro!! The second (and perhaps the last), I was desperate and instead made random shapes like LOVE! XD

Oops! Am I a red head?!?!

Nah, apparently just a dream.. and a bad photoshop job!! hiks =( way to go to be like Addison Shepherd! :(

credit to photos and siggie: myself.. and Adobe Photoshop for the disastrous redhead LOLOLOL XDD
