For quite sometime now, while watching the series, I’ve been drooling about Nodame’s cute outfits.

And thanks to Meldinsky, I finally found out that one of the labels they use on the series is Tartan Shop York from Sendai, Japan.

Here are some York’s ala Nodame’s one-pieces (patent pending ), usually paired with turtleneck long sleeves, black legging and flat Mary Jane shoes.

Reminds you alot to Burberry, eh? Or does Burberry look way too Tartan-ish?
… Whichever, they’re still adorable.

The red coat she wears both in NC and the much waited 2008 Nodame Cantabile Special, which I’m about to finish downloading btw. Sadly without subs.

Just the other day, I had a convo with themalletofjustice from DA. She made the piano bag herself and recommended me to make one on my own. As she puts it, simply get a plain black bag and sew the piano keys on it. Ohh, sounds pretty easy, but …  me?? =x=

The other choice is to spend 7700 yen (What?!) on Ebay for the original stuff. Expect to be charged another 10,000 yen for shipping. And, while you’re at it, why not buy the Mongoose couple soft toys too *sports the most sarcastic expression*

Extremely cute, and extremely pocket draining. $57 anyone?

On a happier note (rdfghjkqwpkjhgvYAY!!) I’ve actually ordered this S-Orchestra T-shirt online. My first online purchase ever! Lucky me, for once there is a fellow Malaysian who is taking orders for the tee = I can pay from my bank account; I don’t do paypal :) It costs around RM50-60 a piece or roughly $12-15. Damn, Ringgit keeps increasing. If some of you are interested, you can check this out.

Nodame Cantabile is a Japanese drama based on the ever so popular manga by Tomoko Ninomiya that goes by the same title.

~Synopsis~

Chiaki Sinichi is a talented piano student at Momogaoka music academy, but he secretly dreams to become a conductor . Yet his childhood phobia of flying and travelling by sea only serves to hinder him from going abroad and pursue his ambition.

One day, Chiaki has a bizzare encounter with Noda Megumi (Nodame), a weird but excellent piano student with simple dream to be a kindergarten teacher and who likes to steal her best friend’s bento (lunch). By most unfortunate twist of fate (as Chiaki sees it), he learns that they are neighbors, and Nodame falls in love with him almost immediately.

A multi-talented perfectionist, Chiaki soon finds himself in an inexplicable situation wherein he starts feeding Nodame dinner, cleaning the super messy place she calls a house, even shampooing her hair; in her best hygiene, Nodame takes a bath only once every 3 days … *Pokes Raein* (Sorry….. I couldn’t resist xD).

Ahem.

Anyway, an incident with the famous German conductor, Stressemann, leaves Chiaki to conduct on his behalf for the S-Orchestra (S for Special), apparently the school’s group of underachievers. But will he ever overcome his phobia and get on his long overdue path to be a conductor?

Starring Ueno Juri and Tamaki Hiroshi, Nodame Cantabile Live Action manages to show the quirky (and cute 0.o?) Nodame and the often narcisstic Chiaki in perfection. (Mukya -_-)

The S Orchestra

Two of my friends have watched the Pie-lette of Pushing Daisies. Zomg, before me!! I forgot why I ever called them friends. Oh wait, because I’m going to get it from them today that’s why. In case you guys read this, I’m just kidding! Of course I didn’t forget it’s because of you that I can watch it today You’re great friends!

When I asked Gilang how did the pilot go, he let it slip, “Gw rasa sih biasa aja Stef…” (I think it was okay.. not bad but not great - I’m confused why I watched it at the first place *pointed blaming fingers at me*). Haha, I know I screwed up the translation but IMO he did mean to say that, just in a roundabout way -_-;; Upon seeing my shocked face however, or rather, my onion shocked face in MSN , he quickly added, “Tapi lucu juga sih…” (But sure it has its funny moment…)

eeh? D:
(Isn’t this the part where he was supposed to marvel about Pushing Daisies and join campaign with me to brainwash college people into watching it? Nevermind)

Then Budi commented as well, “Emang kyknya aga low budget…special effectnya kurang rapi..” (It did look abit low budget.. and the special effect wasn’t that neat). From there I went o.O! and no onion face could perfectly describe my emotion.

wtf?

I fell in love only to have premature broken heart! Needless to say I’m so . Will edit this post after I’m done with my synoptic (due next week! 666!) or done watching and need to complain. Whichever comes first!

Update: Alex said he thought it was good! Then Nana, being an angel she is, gave me Grey’s Anatomy’s premiere (AWESOME!! Minus Burke and Addie though ) And with that I rest my Daisy case and will watch it tomorrow. Synoptic calling, dear.

#UPDATE: So I’m sure some of you wonder how come I could stand not watching with Pushing Daisies inside my thumb drive for this long. I didn’t. If I had though, I wouldn’t be alive right now to update this post. Anyway, some coincidence it was, but I watched it the same day it aired in US.

So, let’s get to the 9 million dollar question:

Is Pushing Daisies good, is it not good?? Teehee!!

Woot! It was awesome. Pushing Daisies was all in one package, quirky, sweet, fairytale-ish. I simply love it! Chuck was sooo prettier in TV life, I admit even slightly prettier than in the banner I made. And Ned… lmao, need I say the hottest TV star this season?

It wasn’t disappointing. It was cute. I was satisfied. Swooned even. And I won’t spoil it for you. Yup it was that good. Now I’m exaggerating *snort*.

Guess what, it’s that time of the year again! This fall, TV is ressurected to life and I mean like, literally. Read on to know what I meant by that and why I love the critically acclaimed new pilot, Pushing Daisies. You know you want to!

Pushing Daisies revolves around Ned (Lee Pace), a pie maker who has the ability to resurrect the dead with a touch. As always, there is a catch,, or two in this case.

1) With his touch, the dead will come back to life. However, the second touch sends them back to Heaven (or Hell -_-) forever.

2) They can only stay alive for exactly one minute, otherwise someone else nearby will die.

Ned decides to use his power to help a local detective, Emerson, to solve murder cases for the cash rewards.. by literally interrogating the murderee(s)… O.o! Things got a tad bit tricky though when Ned revives Chuck, the love of his life… and for that he can never touch her again!

All the more reasons of my daisy love (even when it hasn’t aired yet!)
Pushing Daisies:

comes from the phrases “pushing up the daisies”, which means dead and buried.

- is created by Bryan Fuller, who helped with Heroes last season. Also, narrated by Jim Daly, the one and only voice behind Harry Potter audio books!

Kewtt!! (p.s. I never knew that those lovely white flower with yellow disks are called daisies.. I thought all daisies are all yellow;) and that my all time favorite flower was of nameless species x3).

- has the most vibrant and uniquely colorful visual settings I’ve ever seen in my entire TV history, which sadly to say is not that long. Ah, when I said colorful, I meant to say this kind of colors *wears sunglasses* 8D

- features Ned with stoweerriiii … ‘kay, okay, I’ll stop!! xD
(Is it just me, or does he look a wee bit like Shia LaBeouf?)

Btw, if you are expert in using Torrent, which sadly I’m not , “Pie-lette” (yes, Pie-lette the Pilot. How word-twister champs they are huh?), the pilot episode of Pushing Daisies has leaked online!! All lucky peeps but moi. *sigh* And so far from all 99.99% confessions, it’s either people love it, loove it, or looove it. Though the rest 0.01% speak in Alien languages, truth be told, they sounded like they love it too!

Bottom line: Pushing Daisies is the new LOST! or Grey’s Anatomy! or both! You can’t blame me. It’s love at pre-sight! =)

This picture shows the very first time when I could successfully arrange one side of it. So hard o. I picked yellow for that is my mom’s favorite :3

I am in playing mood, so yet another game - scrabble!! Seriously, and do not cry yeah, but my whole life I played scrabble only twice (right, I am indeed pathetic! lol) - the first time I played, I lost to my dear bro!! The second (and perhaps the last), I was desperate and instead made random shapes like LOVE! XD
