Overdue, forgotten, stinky and mushroom growing post

I hope I don’t scare you just yet with the horrible photograph. It gets better, promise! xD

New year is almost always synonymous with fireworks. Or in my case, TV program, where the MC does 10 seconds countdown, with everyone else in my household already fast asleep. Hell, I even watched ‘Love Actually’ with my little bro for 2007. For once, this year, we, as in me, my brothers and my mum, decided to leave our warm hotel beds and watched the fireworks. Surprise, surprise.

We went to a bakery inside the lobby, with a very strategic view overlooking the spot wherein said event was to be held. Naturally, almost all chairs were taken, good seats and even the not so good ones, which we took. . I fixed myself a cup of hot chocolate, and the cheesecake was yum~

Fifteen minutes into the 1st day of 2008, there were hundreds or so people awaiting for the New Year Countdown. I have never witnessed such fabulous and noisy fireworks up-close (read: not in the room / inside car). Never mind that I was ever so alone outside the cold. They had refused to join me earlier, opting to stay inside cuz it was way too crowded, and unsafe, and cold, basically crowded. But someone’s got to be the photographer *lol*

I didn’t know which part of their reluctance that made me more surprised. That I finally admitted my family are not really big on holidays, nor are they ever going to be, or if it is the realization that dawned on me that I’m so much like Izzie from Grey’s Anatomy, festive moods, crazy holiday spirits and all (I hate Izzie ~_~), while my family are Meredith and George and Cristina and Alex, who don’t believe in Santa Claus (Sorry for TV reference xD). I decided that that was one of Izzie’s acceptable qualities. Not that she had many.

Oh dear. Everywhere I looked at- not that there was much to look, I could barely move myself without getting lost in the human wave- there were couples, young and old, families with small kids … And I swore that the lovey-dovey couple beside me, who could easily be charged with PDA overdose, also attempted to literally blow my eardrums (not to mention eyesight) with their paper trumpets. I now dislike paper trumpets with passion :/

When I’m depressed …

… these shall cheer me up.

Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue by S-Oke (Nodame featuring as Mongoose).

Beethoven no. 7 in A Major, 1st Movement.

My two best friends told me that they got the jobs in the company that our senior recommended. A fun job with promising future. Both will work together, just like how they (+ me) used to in college. How fun!

:I

… I’m so very happy for them, don’t get me wrong. [Insert the magic word (BUT!) here] I can’t help that the more I discern this piece of news, the more I feel that I’m way way left behind everybody, what with no job, no school, nothing to do (damnit!). My future, I hate to admit, seems very bleak at this moment D: My mom, for once, is happy for my sudden conscience -_-

I wish I hadn’t left my resume back in Indonesia.
I wish I hadn’t forgotten what my resume was all about.
I wish by miracle, some uni offered an MBA in Int Business. With scholarship. And no 2-bloody-years-experience needed.
I wish I could just move and work in Peru.

I checked my inbox to see if there is anything else,, um more enlightening. One email alerts me that a new fanfic chapter is up. Well, after all, other things can wait, I guess. *sighs dramatically n plays Gershwin and Beethoven countless times*

P.S. I’m gonna go shopping tomorrow! :D :D

All Nodame *img heavy*

Warning: This is something I bet Whj won’t understand *lol*

For quite sometime now, while watching the series, I’ve been drooling about Nodame’s cute outfits.

And thanks to Meldinsky, I finally found out that one of the labels they use on the series is Tartan Shop York from Sendai, Japan.

Here are some York’s ala Nodame’s one-pieces (patent pending ;) ), usually paired with turtleneck long sleeves, black legging and flat Mary Jane shoes.

Reminds you alot to Burberry, eh? Or does Burberry look way too Tartan-ish?
… Whichever, they’re still adorable.

The red coat she wears both in NC and the much waited 2008 Nodame Cantabile Special, which I’m about to finish downloading btw. Sadly without subs.

BUT!

I most definitely love her piano bags ^u^ Hauun …

*ignore murderous scene plz*

Just the other day, I had a convo with themalletofjustice from DA. She made the piano bag herself and recommended me to make one on my own. As she puts it, simply get a plain black bag and sew the piano keys on it. Ohh, sounds pretty easy, but …  me?? =x=

The other choice is to spend 7700 yen (What?!) on Ebay for the original stuff. Expect to be charged another 10,000 yen for shipping. And, while you’re at it, why not buy the Mongoose couple soft toys too *sports the most sarcastic expression*

Extremely cute, and extremely pocket draining. $57 anyone?

Um, no thank you.

As expected, I can not pull off a sarcastic look.

On a happier note (rdfghjkqwpkjhgvYAY!!) I’ve actually ordered this S-Orchestra T-shirt online. My first online purchase ever! Lucky me, for once there is a fellow Malaysian who is taking orders for the tee = I can pay from my bank account; I don’t do paypal :) It costs around RM50-60 a piece or roughly $12-15. Damn, Ringgit keeps increasing. If some of you are interested, you can check this out.
