When my boyfriend bought final fantasy 7 crisis core for the PSP I knew there would be no way for me not to play it; the fact that I  had fell madly in love with Final Fantasy 7 makes the game all the more appealing.

plot: The game mainly focuses around Zack Fair, a 2nd Class SOLDIER, and the events leading up to his destined demise. He meets many of the Final Fantasy VII characters, including Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough, with whom he develops strong bonds. The game’s storyline takes the player from the war with the Wutai to the events at Nibelheim, and right up to the time just before the Final Fantasy VII beginning. Some of the missing events or plot holes from Nibelheim and afterwards are explained in the animated feature, Last Order: Final Fantasy VII. (That’s the basic plot without giving any spoilers into it)

My review: Most people will compare this to final fantasy 7 usually because they think long behold the remake of final fantasy 7 has come out. Crisis Core is a good RPG as far as I am concerned; it’s challenging which I like and yet also pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I like Zack a lot more than Cloud though and I like Aerith as a side character rather than a main character because when she’s in your party she tends to get weaker and weaker..Probably the only character I didn’t like was Genesis just because I want to kill him because of how weak of a person he is; I didn’t like Sepithroth so naturally I won’t like Genesis because they’re about the same. I also enjoyed doing missions before doing the actual mission so my character would be so overpowered that when attacking an enemy on a mission I could hit them in sometimes under 5 hits

What I didn’t like about it is that it’s extremely short for a final fantasy title also I am really not fond of the digital mind wave as far as materia is concerned because leveling it up is a pain in general..Also as far as a Final Fantasy title goes it’s one of the easier ones to play.

So get it if you’ve played at least some of Final Fantasy 7  or had done research on the story so at least when you’re playing it you’ll know what it’s about.

romeo x juilet: animation - 2, story - 1, characters - 2, enjoyment - 1; 1

This is a story of a young and tragic love, set in the aerial city of Neo Verona. Tyranny rules this island in the sky after the Montague family took control 14 years prior. The disparity among the wealthy and poor is apparent in the present state, the earth dries and water stagnates. The sky itself is wrapped in a deep dense fog. Both Romeo and Juliet’s lineages are of present and past ruling families of Neo Verona. Romeo is the son of the current Montague dictator, Juliet (a beautiful woman) masquerades as a man (Odin), she’s the last descendent of Capulet the previous rulers who were killed by an assasin’s dagger 14 years ago. Her true background is not to be revealed to her until her 16th birthday. The cruel hands of fate introduces 2 people who will become “Star Crossed Lovers”.

The animation was probably the best part and I liked juilet but the fact that this is an anime on a play kind of makes for a predictable story. Sorry I wasn’t into romeo and juilet enough to watch an anime about it.

1. Love Actually - This is probably the best Christmas movie i can think of because it has all of the elements

2. Gremlins: This movie not only features the cutest things ever but it’s also a classic

3. The nightmare before christmas: alright this is kind of a halloween/christmas movie but i still feel like it’s a classic

4. Ruldolph the red nose reindeer: I always watch this every year i can’t help it i love the meaning of this film

5. A Charlie Brown Christmas: another one i loved that i do watch every year it’s peanuts what else can i say?

1. Fingerless gloves: because i wear them like crazy if i love them i have like 5 pairs

2. knee socks: my boyfriend doesn’t like them but i do give them to me especially since i have go-go boots

3. earrings: not like regular ones but crazy ones and not ones that dangle

4. candy: not like i need anymore but it’s appreciated

5. small things from spencer’s gifts because they’re funny

i like how my mom still packs gifts into a stocking that’s partially the reason i’m going down there not like i care about birthday gifts.

1. carol of the bells: i did this at a christmas concert for chorus in high school the year I was in it; I do love this song

2. ruldolph the red nosed reindeer: you have no idea how much i love ruldolph so naturally I’d love the original song

3.  jingle bell rock: because everyone can do a cover of this song and it never gets old

4. silent night: the only problem with this song is it’s pretty quiet and i hate it quiet and slow

Plot:  Shu is a typical Japanese boy, but has an unbeatable, optimistic and determined attitude. However, when he sees a mysterious girl with strange eyes named Lala-Ru up on a smokestack, he is soon pulled into a strange desert world. Shu soon discovers the true terrors of war, which includes genocide, brutal torture, hunger, thirst, and child explotation. Now Shu is trying to save Lala-Ru, as well as his hard earned, and often relunctant, new friends from the insane dictator, Hamdo. Whether Shu can possibly accomplish saving those he cares about while still holding up to his values remains to be seen.

My review:  this is a depressing anime so depressing that I didn’t want to see anymore..The animation though is pretty good. This was one of those where the 1st episode didn’t answer a lot of questions and the characters are just I guess weird to me?

1. on the 24th is my boyfriend and I’s 2 year anniversary we’ve been through a lot and I couldn’t be happier with him even if he’s not perfect he’s my kind of perfect.

2. on the 25th is Christmas and I’ll be probably going to visit my family who live in another city and deliver gifts (right now I’m waiting for some gifts to come that I ordered on midnight of the 12th)

When I was a kid there was the tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve because the rest would be for my brothers and sisters; they’d come over and then we’d have a family like christmas..

I’ve started recently playing Secret of Evermore I love old SNES RPGs and to my surprise I remembered this title especially because my grandmother used to play it and she used to let me watch her play it. There’s a kind of fondness there..It wasn’t that big of a hit over here; at least I haven’t heard people have actually played the game and what not.  It’s one of the more underrated video games of its time.

“Secret of Evermore is a North American role-playing game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System video game console. It was released by Square USA on October 1, 1995 in North America. In February 1996, it saw release in the PAL territories of Australia and Europe.

The gameplay shares many similarities with Secret of Mana, such as real-time battles, a ring-shaped menu system, and the ability to switch control between the characters. The bad part of the game is probably using the dog to search for items; I had a hard time with this and sometimes I have to sit and literally search an area before the one item is found. Another bad part about the game is probably the fact that you can’t equip certain items but yet they’re buyable? This confused me to no end..It kind of makes you wonder who is this equipment for certainly not the dog?

In the end if you did like the classic SNES RPGs like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6 and Secret of Mana then you’ll probably appreciate this game but don’t compare it to those.

Idol Master Xenoglossia;

plot: Haruka Amami isn’t the most confident pop singer in Japan, but when she’s accepted after an audition, she’s sent to Tokyo to start a career in entertainment. Though, little does she know that the agency that’s taken her on is actually a front for a task force that uses giant robots to defend the Earth from falling meteors.

my review: let’s pretend like this is actually a realistic plot; using an idol agency as a front to let little girls pilot mechas?!  All this brings to the table is a lot of cliche elements stolen from other shows  on top of that the main character is pretty annoying by the first episode I was looking at this like a rip off of pretty much everything in the genre..
