Ahahah! I’ve just read cross_star_luv’s Spirited Away review, I love that movie :3

Reading it reminds me of another Studio Ghibli’s movie, Howl’s Moving Castle, there’s a Scarecrow named Turnip in there, Sophie (the main character) accidentally found him upside down, thinking it was a nice wood stick good for a cane, and voila~ when she managed to pull it from the bush, she found out it’s actually a Scarecrow ^.^; The Scarecrow went *boink boink* following Sophie since then and helps much along her adventure

And I found out later that the movie was from a novel by Diana Wynne Jones with a same title

I don’t know why, this Silent Scarecrow just made an impression with me… :p
And somehow, every time I see the stick scarecrow in someone’s farm in HKO, it reminds me about the Howl’s Moving Castle movie *boink boink*

O yeah, my first encounter with the Scarecrow in HKO was in Sundaygirl’s farm, I believe she was laughing hard that time watching my silly greet ;p Here’s the screenshot:
