What is this new strange fascination I have with all cute, pink, pixely stuff lately?

It doesn’t end there— I adore Hello Kitty (and I have since 1979), but with the internet and all these photo & paint editing programs available, there’s been such a renewal of interest in these kawaii things, it’s almost paralyzing…!!!

What’s strange to me, is the fact that I’m a lot older than most people and yet I’m so attracted to this peculiar phenomenon!!!

I find my self shopping HK wallets & stationery; sewing HK pajamas and playing all the “cutesy” games on my (pink!) Nintendo DS…

Is this just me needing to relive my youth or is this a worldwide obsession taking over all who are young at heart?

People ask me if I’m putting on a front when I get all giggly around Sanrio stuff, and I simply say: “…it makes me happy….”

I’m not sure if they’ll ever understand, though…
