Okay, so Lundi Gras is not Mardi Gras but is often looked at as sort of a Holiday too. It’s just basically a day with a speacial name so when it comes around, people can say “Hey, it’s Lundi Gras!” Lol. It was something that started when the Rex parade came over by boat, here to be ready to celebrate for the following day which is Mardi Gras. Lot’s of festivals and activities go on on this day. It’s like a Pre-Mardi Gras or Mardi Gras Eve if you will. (hehe..I’m just realizing this. I shall call it Mardi Gras Eve from now on!)

A popular item to eat is of course the King Cake!

This is it! This is a big part of why Mardi Gras is my ‘favorite’ holiday. (Did I mention that?) I absolutley LOVE King Cake! It’s just too delicious to pass it up! Usually only sold around Mardi Gras Season, King Cake is usually round or oval with it’s traditional colors as icing and every cake comes with a baby hidden somewhere in it. Whoever discovers the baby ‘king’ (as reffered to) has the honour (:p) of buyinh the next king cake. This I recommend to anyone visiting. King Cake is the BEST!

I’m gonna go have me some now……..Ciao!
