Dog and Lolcat

The title of the video says “A dog trying to eat a lolcat.” While it isn’t a lolcat per se, the title is pretty much accurate. Plus, the video’s cute.

Lolcats in the House (http://blog.hellokitty.com/chainbaby) None of those dogs. Cats RULE! |

The Lolcat’s prayer. Yeah, I can’t believe it either.
It’s been said that sometimes, animals mimic humans in plenty of ways. But a lolcat that mimics human behavior is unprecedented (well, OK, not that unprecedented, but still).
I present to you Exhibit A:

and the subsequent lolcat:
Animals (lolcats, especially) are crazy creatures. Seriously.
Don’t you wonder why lolcats always speak the way they do?

Ever since lolcats - and all the other internet animals - began appearing on the internet, it’s become something of a reality that they have to speak in a strange manner of baby talk.
It could be because cats are considered by most people as animals that can’t really understand human speech. People talk to babies the way they do to teach them to talk. While it’s pretty weird to expect cats to start talking thanks to years of exposure to baby talk, some people think that eventually, cats can actually tell what you want just by listening to the way you speak.
Let’s not discount the fact that babies = cute, and kittens / cats = cute. So maybe there’s a parallelism there somewhere, something along the lines of baby talk = cute.
Of course, not all lolcats are cute. Take this baby, for instance:

When you’ve really got nothing else to do, it’s a lot of fun to just lie down and relax. This lolcat has the right idea:
but of course, that isn’t always the case. Sometimes, you’ve been working and playing so hard, you just really run out of juice, and “rest” becomes “pass out.”

When that happens, you know that it’s time to throw in the towel.
Lolcats are cool. They’re also pretty funny. In fact, this is what my blog is going to be about - the strange, cool world of lolcats.
To begin: sometimes, you find strange, out-of-this-world lolcats like this little guy:

The creepy thing is, this cat really does predict deaths. His name is Oscar, and when any of the resident patients are about to pass away, you can bet that he’ll be there, keeping them company up to their last breath.
The cat has been recognized by the hospice he stays in as one of the greatest helpers in keeping their patients as comfortable as possible, even up to their passing, and has even been awarded a wall plaque on the hospice grounds in his honor. You can find his story here.
