I love children. And children with talent never cease to amaze me.

Still reeling from the effects of a 6.0 magnitude earthquake that hit us about a half hour ago, my daughter and I tuned in to Ellen Degeneris. And what we viewed there was enough to soothe our somewhat rattled nerves.

Six year old Emily Bear’s music will place you in a calm mood. She has immense musical talent and ability.  When she first appeared on Ellen’s show earlier this year, she performed “Ellen” - a lovely piece that she composed for the affable talk show host. It took her all of ten minutes to complete the magical piece. “How do you do it?” an awed Degeneris asked her. “It just comes!” Emily replied, beaming with six-year old pride. You’ve got to see it, to believe and appreciate what I’m trying to say. Here is a video of her doing what she does best.
