While trying to obtain a Pet Card from a Snapper I managed to do, I mean, I manged to find this Snapper doing this…

It’s sleeping… but it has a full health bar… and it doesn’t react when I hit it…

Oh, crap I must have broke it!  Hope Bacon don’t find out.  Guess I’ll just kick the carcase over into the pond…

So, the other night I get the Pet Hunt 1 Quest… gotta go collect a bunch of Pet Cards for Melody’s Grandpa.  OK, no big deal.  First mob whose card I have to collect is Snapper.  Huh.  Well, I have 2 Snapper Cards in my storage, but what the heck!  I’ll just smack a few Snapper

…(oops! I’m sorry… I meant I will cause a few Snapper to experience “temporary mobility impairment”… my new politically correct phrase I am introducing to the HKO community to help us all get along better!)…

on my way through and save the 2 in my storage for later.  After all, I may want to breed pets with those cards or something.

OK.  1 hour of mob fighting.  2 hours.  3 hours.  4 hours.  OK, what the heck is the problem?  I’ve smacked almost 2000 of these things and have absolutely no card at all to show for it!

I mean, Holy Snapper Batman!  How many of these things do I need to put down to get a lousy card?!?!   I complained and moaned and GM-Ben was patient and nice enough to explain to me that it is all about chance and luck - something I apparently lack in.

Well, about 2 minutes later, right about the time Bacon showed up for work,  I got 2 Cards in a row.  Uh, yeah… go figure!  I guess I could attribute my “luck” to him!

On the plus side, if I had some boiled water and melted butter, I could have a nice feast!

Going through my screenshot folders from last year was like going through an old photo album you find in an attic.  In any case, I just thought I would share some of them with you… que the sappy music!

It’s Kitty’s 34th Birthday Party and I’m about to get my picture taken with her - I’m so excited I’m going to wee myself!!  Ooops…. too late.

Here are my wife, Serenitycat, and I at the party with our Guild’s mascot.  We kept trying to get him to eat some of the orderves, but he kept insisting on licking the bugs off the outside of the building.  Oh well… hope nobody tried to kiss him that night.

And here we are in London making perfect fools of ourselves.  OK, truth is, she’s perfect, and I’m just the fool.

And finally a picture of us down on the farm.  She really hates farming.  Really.  And I mean she really, REALLY hates farming.  Almost as bad as she hates the Patch o’ Doom.  And she hates that REALLY bad.
