I just wanted to post to say I watched in awe as we here in America watched Barack Obama take oath as our 44th President. I am not ashamed to say that I wept when it happened. I did not think at this point of my life I would see our first African-American President. I thought that I would be an old woman by the time I saw such an event. This inauguration felt different than past ones. It just felt so much more emotional and powerful than in the past. I’m sure the rest of the world was watching us as all this happened. I hope that with this new era we can set an example of what this country can do.

I would have to agree with you. I did indeed feel a few tears of joy when I saw Obama take the oath.
Hopefully, with Obama, we can start anew.
Out with the Old…and in with the new, yes?

I’m not from the US, but I’m so happy that Obama won. I really hope he’ll do great things in his new role.
