Wow, it’s been awhile since I posted. Just wanted to make a quick post, this new theme is soo kawaii! I want to wish all the moms out there Happy Mother’s Day!

Summer is fast approaching, so that’s always good. It will be nice to spend some time outdoors, and feel the sunshine. I’m thinking of making a personal site just for something to keep myself occupied.

So tonight is the season finale of The Celebrity Apprentice. OMG! I see that it’s going to be 3 hours (sigh). I don’t think I can take watching the whole thing. I probably just watch part of it, then go online to see who won. I’ve talked before about watching reality show, but I’m starting to lose interest. These shows tend to milk everything they can for more interest, but I think it can have the opposite effect.

I’ll try and blog again soon.

I’m writing this really late and getting ready for bed, so this will probably be really short. Oh, I actually received some comments on my last post! I was really shocked but happy about that.

Today marks one year since the untimely death of Heath Ledger. It’s just so sad to think of all the great work we’ll never see him do. It is also heartbreaking that his daughter (who looks just like her father) will not get to know him. He was so young, and maybe he had an inner sadness that most people did not know about him.

On to more lighter fare, I’ve been watching Idol these past few episodes and not that impressed. I’ve noticed that they are trying to put more emotionally charged stories into the show. Like the man who lost his wife just a few weeks before the audition was so sad. There was also the touching story about the man who puts his own needs aside to take care of his sick mother. I bet a lot of women will be calling him after this!

Hope everyone is doing well. I’m off to bed, goodnight!

I just wanted to post to say I watched in awe as we here in America watched Barack Obama take oath as our 44th President. I am not ashamed to say that I wept when it happened. I did not think at this point of my life I would see our first African-American President. I thought that I would be an old woman by the time I saw such an event. This inauguration felt different than past ones. It just felt so much more emotional and powerful than in the past. I’m sure the rest of the world was watching us as all this happened. I hope that with this new era we can set an example of what this country can do.

As the Holidays are fast approaching, I hope everyone has a happy season. This time of year can be so crazy with last minute shopping, and all the preparations. I hope that everyone takes some time to remember what is truly important, all throughout the year.

On a lighter note, Dancing With The Stars was pretty good. Like I said, this season I just wasn’t that into it. I also read online that the new season of American Idol is going to have a few changes come January. One of those changes is that they won’t show as much of the awful contestents that will not go through to following rounds. I guess that they want to focus on the more talented contestants. Noo!! I’m sure that I’m not the only one to feel that the awful contestants are one of the more entertaining aspects of the show. Oh well, we will see how it goes.

If I don’t blog again soon I hope that everyone has a Happy New Year!

So tonight is the Semi-Final round for Dancing With The Stars. I’m not as excited about it as I thought I would be. This season has just been so-so for me. There was a lack of break out performances, but there’s been the usual overflow of filler content. We shall see what happens.

Oh, I’ve been so sick the past few days. Everyone in my family got some kind of cold/virus and I was the last one to get it. This has been the worst I’ve felt in awhile. I think I’m starting to feel better, but I still don’t have much of an appetite.  I guess I’ll save having any rich food for the end of the month since Thanksgiving is coming up :).

Just wanted to write and say, yes change is coming! I usually don’t like to air my political views, but this is important. America needs new leadership that we can look up to. Obviously I’m glad Obama won, but I do have to admit McCain was very gracious in his speech. I’m actually excited about things to come, and I haven’t felt that way in awhile :).

Oops, haven’t been blogging..again! Life’s been a little crazy for me at the moment. I wanted to make sure to blog though. I love these cute new Halloween themes. I also wanted to wish anyone viewing this a Happy Halloween if you celebrate.

Anyways, it was my daughter’s birthday she’s getting so grown up *sigh*. That means I’m getting older and my B-day is coming up also. There is alot to do for my daughter this school year. Her school has a new system online where parents can keep track of their grades, homework, attendance and whatnot. It’s pretty helpful.

Has anyone seen the new Harry Potter trailer? OMG! It looks great, but it also just makes me more sad that they pushed back the release date until next year.

Again Happy Halloween everyone!

The new tv season is here so I am glad for that. I can’t wait for “Dancing with the Stars”. It’s starting off with a three night opener, yeah! Hopefully my daughter doesn’t have too much homework, so we can enjoy it together. It’s one of the few shows that the whole family can watch together. I’ve read online that there doesn’t seem to be any standouts this season (at least not yet). The good thing is last season a woman finally won again, and I’m happy it was an Asian as well. It was just beginning to seem that the same type of people were rising to the top in the compitition. Well, let’s see what the new batch of stars bring!

So I’ve been listening to some of Jesse McCartney’s new album for the past few days. I’ve already posted this on the boards, but I was really surprised to hear his new album “Departure”. The title fits because he has really grown both musically and age wise. No more bubble gum pop, in fact I think by his next album he will not be in the pop genre at all. I also recently downloaded the Duffy album. At first I thought her song “Mercy” was just alright, but I did think her voice had a unique quality about it. So one day I previewed the whole album and just fell in love with it. It looks like it’s becoming a trend of newer  artists doing r&b type music, and I’m really glad.

I’m listening to more different kinds of music now, even though I’ve always had eclectic taste. Hopefully, this will also help me get in touch with my creative side as well. When I was younger I used to draw all the time, and then I felt too busy and just stopped. Now my daughter draws all the time, so she is really inspiring me. I thought the parents were supposed to inspire the kids!

Speaking of my daughter, she laughed so much when she found out about some of the songs on my mp3 player! Oh well, I’m still young at heart alright. Besides music is the universal language. Music crosses all racial and age boundaries :).

Well it seems that the damage from Hurricane Gustav could have been much worse. Thank goodness for that. Of course we still have to watch out for Fay, and Ike among others. I am trying to be thankful for things that I have instead on focusing on what I don’t. I’ve seen images on the news of devastation from Katrina, that still have not been fixed. This is aside from what happened during Gustav’s course. There are people still living in squalor, and I don’t think the government is doing enough. It’s very ironic that those who seemed to have the least to lose (as far as material possessions) were hit the hardest. Of course when you don’t have that many resources, your choices in life are more limited.

Changing gears now, I plan to blog about more cheerful things next time. I really appreciate the Hello Kitty community for giving us email and blog services free of charge. If I set up my own site, I will definately link this one to tell people about it!
