It’s bed time
November 24th, 2011 by byzar:mymelody.comI’ve been searching for this Sleeping My Melody doll for some time and finally got it. I had two but sold one of them. She’s too cute and very fuzzy and soft! Unfortunately this was not available anywhere in the U.S. I ordered it from Asia. Sanrio USA, please consider selling more My Melody plushes in the U.S.!

Getting ready for Winter
November 24th, 2011 by byzar:mymelody.comIt’s been a while since I’ve been on here but I have a lot of new pieces. I will be uploading photos. But first, here’s a sneak peek at one of my new dolls - to get ready for winter, it’s a winter My Melody plush wearing winter gear with cute hearts on her and a strawberry emblem on her hood. This was produced by Furyu licensed by Sanrio.
She’s all fluff
May 6th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comThis is another new doll that I have. It is a prize doll that you can win in the Japanese crane machines (called UFO) I think. Anyway, she is big, so if it’s not from the crane machines, then maybe from other games. There is a red version of this too but I only like the pink Melodies. I love her fluffiness and the lace and plushy heart on her headress. I’m going to need to find more storage space…
Nordic My Melody in Japanese crepe fabric
May 3rd, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comThis is another recent acquisition for my collection. She is from the “Nordic” series. The material is made out of a very fine material called chirimen Japanese crepe fabric. It is a very thin, lightweight fabric with a crinkled, bumpy surface, traditionally used for kimonos and made of silk. Of course, this My Melody isn’t made of silk. Lol! I have a version of this doll with a darker colored fabric too which I will photograph later (or can be found in my older blogs). I thought it would make a great complement…

Kimono Hello Kitty
May 2nd, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comOnce in a while, I see a beautiful Hello Kitty doll and I break the rules and stray off My Melody collection and buy it. This happened to be one of those times. I have two. If you’re interested in getting one, send me a message.

What I liked about this doll is the beautifully constructed garment. The fabric is shiny, and the pattern and bow is very pretty. Her hair is also very cute with the sakura (cherry blossom) petals and the ribbon. The ball is detachable velcro.

It’s a Kindergarten world…
May 1st, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comThese are the most treasured (and most expensive) plushies in my Melody collection. They are the very rare Kindergarten plushies made a few years ago. In Japan, the Kindergarteners wear a uniform with a bag and Sanrio has interpreted that for My Melody.
There were two different versions of the medium plush. The different boxes are shown below…

Here they are out of the box. My favorite is the one on the left who has a polka dot dress, pink bag, and a more vibrant yellow hat. The one on the right has a checkered dress, yellow bag, lighter yellow hat, and a bow on her hat. There’s also the baby sister in the middle.

Here’s a closeup of the little Kindergarten plush keychain…

Teeny Weeny Little Polka Dot Bikini…
April 29th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comHumpty Dumpty My Melody
April 26th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comHere’s a version of My Melody as an egg produced by Sanrio. I love this series because of the cute floral patterns. It’s much cuter in person because the bottom half of the egg is a bean bag, so there’s a weight to it when you hold it!

Sweet strawberries all over
April 25th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comIt’s nice to be back and I’ll be happy uploading more photos in the coming days. Here’s another new doll I have — My Melody dressed in strawberry head to toe. I love her little strawberry shoes and the dress!

Innocent little My Melody
April 24th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comIt’s been a while since I updated this blog, been so busy! I have a lot of new Melody things and will be uploading them so please come back.
Here’s a new doll I have, she’s one of the sweetest Melodies I’ve seen out there. She looks so innocent and sweet holding her flowers. I love the Melodies with ears down. Oh she’s very soft and fluffy too!

My Melody’s apartment
April 5th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comBelow is another new addition to my collection. This is a Melody playset. I haven’t taken the characters out yet. The characters here are My Melody, Kuromi, Baku, and Flat the mouse. Baku is one of Kuromi’s friends. He’s a tapir, which is a type of animal that resembles a pig. Flat the mouse as you know, is one of Melody’s sidekicks.

The baby is here!
March 30th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comOne of my swap friends gave me the baby pink Melodake mushroom on my wishlist as a gift! And because she is so generous, she also threw in the yellow one since I liked it too! Thank you Jiniya!

Now my pink Melodake family is complete! I was looking everywhere for the baby pink one to complete my mushroom family. The family is so happy to see their baby arrive! Thanks again Jiniya ♥.

Here is the extended family that includes the cousins — baby yellow and baby red Melodake. They come over to play while Mama Melodake watches over!

For people that wonder what Melodake is, it is a version of My Melody combined with a mushroom = Melodake. Think of the suffice “ake” like shittake mushroom.
I need pills
March 28th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comPut your money where your…
March 24th, 2010 by byzar:mymelody.comI hope you are tuning in to my blog regularly to see what new (and old) things I have in my Melody collection. There’s still a lot of stuff that isn’t up here yet.
I don’t know what series this is called but I like the bags and wallets from this series. The plush for this collection however, is ugly. Her fur is very scratchy and curly, reminds me of a wet dog. I don’t like plushes made of that scratchy material. I only like soft plushes.
Since we are showcasing Melody wallets, here is a pic of a wallet I got 2 Christmases ago from a swap.

Here’s the back view. That pen was also from the swap. I have two of those pens.

I also have a vintage My Melody Wallet from the 1980’s in one of my older posts.
