Hmm… what art to post today… let’s see…

How about a couple things made out of paper??  (It’s a fun medium, trust me!)

This is a self-portrait made from textured paper!
It’s about three or four inches tall in real life.

A collage with more textured paper (I love these patterns, don’t you?)
It’s about 18 inches tall and 15 inches wide.

Arts and crafts are fun!!  Most people, however, convince themselves otherwise by saying silly things such as “But, I can’t draw!”  That’s ridunculous!  Drawing and sketching is only one medium out of hundreds.  There are plenty of creative outlets available even if you don’t like drawing.  Papercraft is one of them!!

Creative Park is crafts idea page by the printing supply company, Canon (if there is an inkjet printer next to your computer, or a stack of printer paper, it is likely that one or both of those are distributed by Canon!).

Follow the links on the site for whatever project sounds fun to you.  There are scrapbooking projects, 3D papercraft, origami, and everything in between.  The BEST PART about all of this is that not only does the site supply project ideas, but also all the supplies you will need to create the projects!  It all starts by printing out the colorful patterned paper and then following the directions!  Once you’ve learned the basics that the site has to offer, maybe you’ll be creating paper-based art work of your own, without any guides!

Here are some of my favorite projects on the site.  (Remember, I’m very girly!!  There are more gender-friendly projects available, just look around!)

(I use stuff like this in many of my art projects!)
