My friend and I were planning on going to the movies on Saturday morning to see Kung Fu Panda at a discounted rate of $6 ^_^
However, my friend found out that there was a drive-in theatre in the surrounding area that was showing a triple-feature: Kung Fu Panda, the new Indiana Jones movie, and Iron Man. At $8, it is definitely a bargain!
I definitely love the open area feel of a drive-in. There’s just something about watching a movie on a huge screen outside with the cool breeze blowing that just feel so good! Of course, we made a stop at the grocery store to buy some last minute insect repellent just in case. LOL.
Overall, it was great! The showing started late so we watched Kung Fu Panda and Indy, but were terribly tired and too sleepy for Iron Man. KF Panda was cute and great, while Indy was definitely disappointing for me… I wished Iron Man came before Indy because I wanted to see it a lot more.

Whoever thought of Netflix needs some kind of award! I <3 it! I’ve been trying to catch up on some shows that I ended up dropping because of how busy school was. But, now, I’m starting to catch up again.
Right now, I’m trying to catch up with Charmed from season 4 onwards. I’ve seen reruns here and there, but they’ve been out of order. It’s great to see the episodes in order and finally understand the story line.
So… I caught a rerun of The Colbert Report (which I LOVE!) and Rain came on for a “dance-off”. Hilarious! Here’s the video. I am so glad Jon Stewart gave him his own show!

My friends, Eb, Amanda, Maureen and I live in different counties so we decided to do a movie night each month about 2-3 years ago as a way of keeping in touch and hanging out since we’re usually not in each other’s areas often enough.
May movie night was this Saturday over Maureen’s house. She had “There Will Be Blood” and “The Royal Tenenbaums” as her movie picks.
I normally do not like period dramas so I was a little iffy about her first pick, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be. The actor who plays Eli definitely needed to win some kind of award because his performance was amazing! I think it deserved more praise than Daniel Day Lewis’…
I stopped paying attention to “The Royal Tenenbaums” because I was ready to go home. And it was more fun talking and catching up and also reminiscing with my friends. “There Will Be Blood” took all the energy from me. I’m more of a comedy, action or romantic-comedy person anyway…
