I saw Get Smart on Saturday with my friend, Jen. I admit I’m was a little disappointment. I had so much hope for it! But, the humor was definitely face-value. Plus, a lot of the physical comedy got to be too much and therefore unfunny. Funny enough, Kung Fu Panda is still my reigning comedy film this month :P

After the movie, we headed to Bath & Body Works to hit up their semi-annual sale to stock up on my favorite scents: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Mango Mandarin, Tropical Passionfruit, and Sensual Amber. Unfortunately, I was told Tropical Passionfruit has been *gasp* discontinued!

I also bought a tarot card set from Barnes & Noble using the gift card my company gave me for my birthday. The cards are so beautifully illustrated! I must admit that I was drawn to tarot because of the mysticism that comes with it. Although, I’m sure my readings won’t be accurate at all. LOL. It’s still fun :)

11 June was my first year anniversary at work and it also coincided with our Design Team Spa Day that was awarded to us by the company. Needless to say, it was a great day. We went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch, which the senior designer wrote off as my anniversary lunch so it was free! We had Crab Wontons for appetizers and I ordered Chicken Madeira for my course. Of course, it was yet another yummy dish. I have never been disappointed with their food. They really emphasize quality with their food, I’m told.

With some convincing from the print designer (”Our lunch is free and I don’t want to eat by myself!”), I ordered the Pistachio Mint cheesecake, which was so new that it hadn’t made it to the menu yet. It was delicious!

After filling our faces with free food, we headed down to the spa. We were given the half-day package which included deluxe manicure & pedicure, a massage, and a facial. The place was very relaxing and everything was set up to truly be relaxing: the music, the lighting, the rooms, etc. It was definitely an experience! I definitely understand why people splurge on this stuff.

Curiously, I received a thank you card from my masseuse a few days ago. It was very nice of her. Plus, she also offered me 10% off another massage with her! I might take her up on that offer.

I’ve been wanting to visit the Hershey Spa, where you are bathed in chocolate. Seems so decadent! Their day packages don’t seem too bad though:

Hershey Half Day
Approximately 3 hours, $280
Hydrotherapy A La Hershey - Personal Prescription Facial - Traditional Massage - Lunch in The Oasis

Hershey Full Day
Approximately 5.5 hours, $435
Traditional Massage – Personal Prescription Facial – Radiant Citrus Manicure – Radiant Sea Pedicure – THE HOTEL HERSHEY Scalp Treatment (for longer than shoulder length hair, thick or curly hair add $15) – Lunch in The Oasis

“My One and Only” starring Chris Noth and Renée Zellweger is currently shooting in our area. My friend and I went down to the park to eat our lunch since it was a nice and breezy day today. We saw all the production trucks and the people setting up around us. It was pretty cool seeing the whole thing. We didn’t notice anyone famous though.

When I returned to my office, my office mate got a call from 2 other coworkers who were freaking out because Chris Noth was in front of them reading on a bench. They ended up taking a picture with him. LOL.

I wasn’t so excited because I am not a fan of either of them. LOL. Now, if it had been Christian Bale or someone cool like that… then it might be a different story…

My friend and I were planning on going to the movies on Saturday morning to see Kung Fu Panda at a discounted rate of $6 ^_^

However, my friend found out that there was a drive-in theatre in the surrounding area that was showing a triple-feature: Kung Fu Panda, the new Indiana Jones movie, and Iron Man. At $8, it is definitely a bargain!

I definitely love the open area feel of a drive-in. There’s just something about watching a movie on a huge screen outside with the cool breeze blowing that just feel so good! Of course, we made a stop at the grocery store to buy some last minute insect repellent just in case. LOL.

Overall, it was great! The showing started late so we watched Kung Fu Panda and Indy, but were terribly tired and too sleepy for Iron Man. KF Panda was cute and great, while Indy was definitely disappointing for me… I wished Iron Man came before Indy because I wanted to see it a lot more.

Normally, I don’t like to discuss politics because it’s such a touchy subject for some. Plus, I don’t really get excited by it. But I gotta say that it is great that the Clinton vs. Obama political war is finally over! Her “suspension” of her campaign is a little iffy… but I’m glad that she’s gonna stand with him now and unite their party.

So I definitely missed out on the last day of Closed Beta play on Sunday. I’m a little disappointed, but I got to hang out with my friend so it wasn’t much of a bummer. Plus, I got to do some choice shopping, which is always fun :)

My friend was in therapy/rehab for about 5-6 months and she was finally discharged. It was definitely great seeing her again. The last time I saw her was around November or December of last year!
