….However, I’m still craving pumpkin pie…

As I mentioned in my previous post, my friends and I went to NAU in Flagstaff, Arizona for the weekend. We conspired with our friend, Kevin’s, roommate and surprised him. It was really funny to hear his voice jump five octaves in three minute intervals x] We met his friends and then hung out in a lounge in their dorm and we played catchphrase (im not a very fast thinker) and mafia (ive never been good at being part of the mafia, so why was i in the mafia for almost all the rounds?) for a couple of hours before hitting the hay.

The next day was spent with our dear friend as he showed us around downtown. Then in the evening, we suited up our Halloween costumes and went to his friend, Paige’s, house, where we chilled and watched a movie. Afterward, we tried to have a dance party in the Daniels’ room, but the RA came and told us to be quiet, so we went to Denny’s instead :P We ended the night having a good old fashioned sleepover with Kevin and his roommate and were fast asleep at five in the morning.

The next morning (well, afternoon, because we stayed up late) was bittersweet because it was the day of our departure.  We had brunch in the Union and had a lot of laughs before we had to say goodbye to Kevin and the wonderful people we have met on the road trip.  I miss them all still.  But, I hear that some of them are coming here for Christmas break, so I’m excited :D

Also, Sunday was Hello Kitty and Mimmy’s birthday! Here’s to thirty-five years of never-ending cuteness! :3

And Halloween is coming up!  I’m excited because it’s my first Halloween as a college student! I hope everyone is doing something fun!  :D

Let’s see…cold weather. Halloween. Tree in front of my house that’s turning red.  Check.  Yep, I’d say it finally looks like fall. haha. x]

I am quite nervous though because my friends and I are going to visit our friend, Kevin, in Arizona for the weekend.  Last I heard from him, it’s is snowing and is around 20 degrees!  I dont do well with the cold, and I have almost no clothes adequate for the snow!  Ahhh I’m scared!  Oh well, we’ll just have to see how this turns out.

So a couple of weeks ago, my school put on a production of the musical, Working. Based on the same-titled book by Studs Terkel, Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso adapted it into a musical. Working is about the American workday from points of view of many real individuals with both common and uncommon jobs: from the CEO of a big company to the neighborhood newsboy. Each of the people portrayed in the musical talk about their jobs, how they feel about them, the people they interact with, as well as their hopes and dreams.

I wasn’t in the show a whole bunch; I was mostly in ensembles, because my singing abilities are way better than my acting abilities ^_^’ But I did have a total of two lines, which my friend, who was also in the show (as the receptionist), was very excited for me :D

This next song features the waitress and was one of the most popular numbers in the show. I’m the one who opens the scene here (one of my two lines), though you cannot really hear me, I need to work on my projection. Hehe xp

Now this song is my favorite in the whole show. It is so sad, but the chords are beautiful and so is the message. I would try to change my outfit quickly every night just so I can hear this song.

This one is the closing song. I look at buildings differently now because of this song.
