Onigiri-ChuEver since anime was introduced, it has steadily grown momentum and is now one of the biggest influences of pop culture. It appeals to people of all ages (much like Hello Kitty!) Here in SanrioTown, we’ve got a lot of anime fans on board, and our featured blogger is a part of that mini-community! sugar_berii is an anime-and-manga fan, and it shows in her posts! Her posts show this interest. Her entries are actually more on the cutesy type, something that young people would surely love.

Blog-ElieWe’ve got another New Yorker as our featured blogger! Blog-Elie is not just a blog about the Big Apple, although we do get to read tales about it (ever heard about Oleg, the human computer/cab driver?). She also has stories to tell about her baking adventures, shopping finds, and of course, Hello Kitty sights and goodies!

The owner is a web designer whose “interests include archeology and dental floss”. While she admits that her blog does not have a general theme and that her posts would be all over the place, we think this is what makes it interesting. After all, it’s fun when you can’t always predict what you’ll see next, right?

If you answered B or D, you’ve got it right. Music buffs will surely love this week’s featured blog on the Blog All-Stars. “Muffled Noise“ is all about the beat, the sound, and the vibe. The blog owner does not discriminate nor stick to a specific kind of music: no matter what genre, performer, or band, you’ll surely find at least a tidbit of it on this journal. One day you might find her blogging about R&B, the next, boy bands (admit it: you’ve listened to one of their products and enjoyed it at least once in your life). It’s not just bare facts that she talks about on her journal though: she makes commentries on her features, so it adds to the pull of the blog to know what she thinks about the issues she brings up.

Blog of the Week!

OkasanekoHello Kitty’s appeal is such that people from all over, no matter who they are or where they’re coming from, will feel her pull. Today’s featured blogger is a proof of this.

Her moniker Okasaneko (which is also her blog name), derived from the Japanese words “okasan” (for mother) and “neko” (for cat), says a lot about her. Not only is she a Hello Kitty fan (as evidenced by her Kitty-centric entries!), but she’s also a wife and mother of two boys. This, however, isn’t what makes her stand out, since there are also moms on the site. What makes her blog special is because she uses it as her medium to pursue her advocacy for autism. This is especially personal for her, since one of her sons has autism. A lot of her entries are focused on her stories about her family and their challenges when it comes to this. She is an inspiration not only because of this, but also because of her attitude in handling the situation: being grateful of what she has in life, and continuing to push forward in faith.
