Tom Sachs’ “Obama O8″ Hello Kitty Shirt

tom sachs' hand-drawn hello kitty - detail Tom Sachs had created a hand-drawn Hello Kitty T-shirt in 2008 to support of Barack Obama.

Tom Sachs is an artist best known for his elaborate modern sculptures. This drawing of Hello Kitty and the Eiffel Tower may be familiar to those who have previously seen seen his Crying Hello Kitty fountain pictured below. The fountain was made of bronze and automotive paint, standing at 10 x 8 x 6 feet.

The shirt was sold at Colette.fr for about US$63 each, though we haven’t seen this product on site recently. For more information on Tom Sachs, visit his website as TomSachs.org.
