Soft, red, plump and heart-shaped! Strawberries bombard the universe with sheer sweetness and innocent succulence. Sure, there are lots of other berries out there, but strawberries are so fabulously pretty and unique that botanists don’t even classify them as true berries! Unlike true berries like cranberry and blueberry that have their seeds inside, the strawberry has dry yellow seeds on the outside. These strawberries are adorably cute and charming that they are used for fashionable accessories and ornaments. This is what we think of Sweet Strawberries’ Blog—delightfully sweet, charmingly unique and fashionable! While her blog isn’t primarily about strawberries, we think that it adds a distinctive sweetness and certain cuteness to our day that is found only in strawberries.

Did you know?

  • Rumor has it that strawberries were named long ago by English children who used to handpick the fruit, strung them on grass of straws and sold them as “straws of berries”.
  • Some historians speculate, however, that the name of the fruit was derived from the Old English streawberige, because the plant’s runners stray in all directions.
  • On average, each strawberry has 200 seeds.
  • Strawberries are not berries. They’re actually from the rose family, and their actual fruits are the tiny yellow seeds on their outsides.

Stay sweet and charming and cute just like strawberries, Sweet Strawberries!

Greetings, SanrioTownsfolk!

So far, we have plenty of promising entries for the latest HKO event: A Day in the Life of Hello Kitty Online. We’ve stumbled upon many fascinating stories and well-written blog entries by the players and we’re thrilled to know that many of you are pouring a great deal of effort and love into the stories and adventures that you share with us.

One mesmerizing adventure that caught our eye was Rini’s. Rini did not only write a single entry for the event, she wrote numerous blog entries, and her story still seems to be in progress! Well, that’s a lot of Sanrio Loyalty Points, don’t you think? In her story, the “Vampire Entries”, Rini was described as a Parisian vampire girl who looks “wild and dangerously cute, with a tall and a catlike sinewy build, blood-crimson eyes and pink hair tied up into horn-like buns”.

Read more of her adventures here!

So why not write your own stories and share your adventures with us? You can get tons of Sanrio Loyalty Points by just sharing with us the magic of your day in Hello Kitty Online!

“Somewhere over the rainbow, blue birds fly, and the dreams that you’ve dreamed of, dreams really do come true!”

Sometimes, we may think that life is dull and gray and monotonous, and we wonder if there is something beautiful and colorful that awaits us elsewhere. The concept behind this song and video is grasping onto the fact that there is always something great in the distance—in some place where life will be more vibrant, where our world will be daubed with more colors, and where all our greatest dreams and wishes come true.

No one can deny that rainbows sprinkle some color into our world. These multicolored prisms are woven from light, and they appear in heaven like an arc of red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue and violet. It is an arc that is formed by reflection and refraction of sun’s rays inside raindrops.

While this video does not consist solely of rainbows, some of the images shown here represent them. By sharing this video, we hope to remind everyone not to lose hope and to keep on dreaming. Somewhere over the rainbow, where our troubles melt like lemon drops, dreams really do come true!

Did you know…

… that rainbows consist of more colors than the human eye can see?

… that while sunlight looks white, it’s actually made of a mixture of all the colors of a rainbow?

… that you can actually make rainbows? On a bright, sunlit day, and as the sun shines on your back, try to spray a mist of water using your garden hose below your eye level, then wait for the results!
