From Anime News Network:A jewel-encrusted Hello Kitty doll measuring about 10.5 cms. and weighing a mere 1.25 lbs. was unveiled last month in Switzerland, and it is estimated to be worth 15 million yen, reportedly the most expensive Hello Kitty item that has ever been produced.

The item, which was seen in Baselworld, a world-renowned jewelry trade show, was made through a collaboration between Sanrio and Austrian crystal maker Swarovski for the latter’s Enlightened Swarovski Elements brand. The doll is worth 232.256 carats, and made of 2,346 diamonds, white topazes, and pink sapphires.

The doll was reportedly done in celebration of Hello Kitty’s 35th anniversary this year.
