What do Sanrio Town, Kuchiki Rukia, Ishida Uryuu, kt sanctuary, and shadowcat have in common? These are only some that have link banners that lead directly to their sites! To see how this works, check out the sidebar of the Sanrio Town Blog and you’ll be able to view how these work.

Since we’ve just finished on the Blogroll, we’ll be discussing how to make and add these link banners to your blog.

You can actually design your own link banners using photo editing software. The size usually used for these are 88×31 pixels. You can play around with images, colors, text, whatever suits you! You can design these to reflect your personality or according to the name or mood of your blog. Just remember to follow the rules of Sanrio Town in your concept!:)

When you’ve already finished designing your banner, the next step is to upload it on your blog in a new post. Once you have it up, do tell us about it so we can link you too.:)

To now add that link (with the image) to your sidebar, click on the “Blogroll” tab and then “Add Link.” Enter the name/title of the blog (ex. My Blog) and then its url (ex. http://blog.sanriotown.com/myblog:hellokitty.com) . Afterwards, scroll all the way down to Image Address and then enter the URL of the image (to get its URL, simply click on it and then copy its link). Make sure you classify the blog according to the categories as we’ve discussed last week! Save this, and you’re all set! Visit your blog and you should be able to see the image already, and not just a plain text title.
