I’ve been out of action for a little while but now I am back again! Yay (cheers and celebration abound), summer is here and I have more time to play again! Anyway for my post today I found something interesting, what happens when you merge Starwars with Hello Kitty?

Why of course, Hello Wars! (or in the below case, Hello Fett or Boba Kitty)

That would be a cool avatar costume now….along side the historical darth vader outfit below.

As a general rule of thumb, when walking past a store and a giant Hello Kitty emerges from a plasma screen trying to take your hand, do not touch it. Just back away slowly. Because otherwise, you will be transported into the pinkest, gayest digital world your eyes have ever seen. Oh, wait, maybe that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This video is a trailer for the upcoming Hello Kitty Online game, showing the kinds of characters you can create. It looks like just the fruitiest thing I’ve ever seen, from fairy princess garb to animal costumes. Once appropriately attired, you can team up with your friends to rescue Hello Kitty and her friends. Well, at least, that’s the plot I could glean from this wordless trailer. There’s no actual gameplay footage, but the screenshots I’ve seen look just as crazily colorful and cute. Seriously, this game looks like it’s going to sear your retinas with its colorful cuteness. It’s either going to be the most awful thing ever created, or the most awesome! I vote awesome!

Aeria Brings Hello Kitty Online To North America

In the most exciting news out of the Game Developers Conference so far this morning, Sanrio Digital and Aeria Games are partnering to officially bring Hello Kitty Online to North America.

Aeria Games will manage the online publishing and day-to-day operation of Sanrio Digital’s Hello Kitty Online, a massively multiplayer online game with a built-in audience consisting of anyone who has ever professed a preference for the color pink. Currently in beta, Hello Kitty Online will launch later this year in North America with a free-to-play business model supported by microtransactions.

"Sanrio Digital is very excited to partner with Aeria Games, who will be our online publisher and operator for Hello Kitty Online in North America. With Aeria Games’ leadership position in the free-to-play casual MMO sector and Hello Kitty brand awareness among the underserved female gaming audience, Hello Kitty Online will grow into a leading social gaming destination for teens and female adults," said Robert Ferrari, Vice President of Publishing & Business Development of Sanrio Digital.

And there you have it! What could possibly top this news? Nothing. Nothing at all. GDC is now closed. You can all go home now.

The event results are out! congratulations to Founders for winning but a BIG BIG Congratulations to our Alliance that as a whole made most of the shirts and basically all the bags inside Hello Kitty Online!

Valentine event inside Hello Kitty Online is officially over. I already miss hanging out with the Sailoria Gang! In the end we were farming and gathering like mad for the charity event and I think we did really well! As you can see below, I was drowned in dead coffee plants!

Carlos came to visit me and exclaimed in horror to what he witnessed, he had to look for me, luckily I wore a pink hat so I was easy to spot in the forest of brown.

I just enjoy hanging around talking to everyone about my MAD OBSESSION WITH POWER!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *furiously evil laughter*

Anyway, here are two more screenshots (more to follow later) and one of them were Hello Kitty made a guest appearance a few days ago! I tried to hug her, but alas, no success.

Busy at the harbour when the game was opened on Valentine day!

the new interface shows the users differently than the green and red users.

Early on in the game we ended up helping build various guild members houses, like Tree and Carlos! Here Carlos was slave driving us cracking his wand while me, Yin and Otaku worked very hard to complete his wooden house! haha!

Sinniee’s farm was really very beautiful, captured the autumn feel, never did dying leaves look so good!

In the last minutes we were busy harvesting Sorosis, looking at that field, there were 6 of us crowding the fields (we are the ones in green and the star is me), we were busy farming and Otaku was the power mule going everywhere to collect last pieces of clay, sorosis and fragments.
