Hehe. As you can tell from the title, I’m very excited about Halloween! Except it’s also the end of the first marking period, so all of the teachers are piling on the assessments to get in those final grades because they totally procrastinated in giving them.

Anyhow, aside from the stress, it’s very exciting. Probably the exciting-est Halloween I’ve ever had since I was a little kid. Because when you’re a little kid, everything’s exciting :P My friends and I have decided to go as utensils. They’re going as forks, knives, and spoons, which left me and another friend with nothing to be except napkins and plates, but then I thought of a brilliant asian-y idea. Chopsticks!

So now we’re going as a pair of chopsticks. I feel so asian. But since we’re going as Chop and Stick, my friend said, “I’m Chop!” so now I’m stuck with being Stick. And with all the pervy people at our school, that doesn’t sound too good. Anyhow, we have no clue how we’re gonna pull it off because we have to make the costumes ourselves. Unless any of you have found a store-bought chopstick costume…. And with all the extra tests and crap, it’s really hard to find a common time that we can all devote to costume-making.

But whatever. We always manage to pull through in the end. No matter how screwed up it looks, we probably don’t have any more options because we want to go as a whole group. And a whole group wearing costumes that don’t have anything to do with one another doesn’t make sense. So we’re back to the beginning.

So, as the title says, I’m officially back from Boston. Actually, I was back on Friday, but I was really sleep deprived until today :P

And back from Boston means, unfortunately, that I have to do the tons of work that I’ve totally neglected for the past week. Which is bad. Very bad.

In French, I’ve missed the whole unit test and the passe compose, which isn’t good because the teacher says that the passe compose is really hard. And in History, I have a whole packet of make-up work to do, which is poop. But History was never hard in the first place. Just terribly boring.

But the one thing that I’m worried about the most is the high school applications, which are due in November, but they just appeared online at the beginning of October, which sucks because we only have 3 weeks to do them. And the prompt is really vague, so nobody’s sure of what the selector people are looking for.

Oh well. Life goes on. Even if I asian-fail my way out of math. And don’t make it into the magnet high schools. But whatever. My mom wants to move to California anyways.

Yay! So excited! :)

Hehe. On Sunday, we’re leaving for *dun dun dun duuun* BOSTON!

Now, it still hasn’t sunk in yet, even though we’ve been talking about it for the whole year. But it still doesn’t feel like we’re actually going to hop on a bus and drive for eight hours all the way up to Massachusetts.

But either way, it’s still exciting :P. Except for the fact that I’m in a project group with a bunch of guy nerds and my best friend isn’t on my bus. But that’s okay….. because I’m still rooming with her.

But really. Boston. It feels so unreal!

Oh yeah. And I’m stressing over magnet high school applications. It’s awful. We only have one month to do them and we’re in Boston for one week. So that’s only three weeks. For like, 5 essays. And then the scary scary test. And that sucks.

So I’m listening to River Flows In You by Yiruma. It calms me down so I don’t hyperventilate and die.

Just a random note: did you know that ~@~ makes a poop emoticon in gmail? It looks so cool! :D

Blargh. School is not going so well…

So first off, our Geometry teacher is this scary lady with a weird accent that teaches us really weird techniques and doesn’t explain things well. Add that all up and you get a failing grade. But wait, there’s more XD.

According to our county policy, teachers aren’t allowed to give extra credit. I don’t know why though… I think extra credit’s kinda nice :P. So yeah, she gives extra credit, except she calls it our “savings account”. And she probably only does that because so many kids have failed her class before she started doing that.

And even though it’s against the law, the county doesn’t replace her because they can’t move her anywhere else to teach, and they also can’t find anyone else to replace her. So in the meantime, I’m suffering through Russian math. Ew.

And on top of trying not to fail in math, we have the Boston trip coming up. We’re supposed to research stuff and make web sites and take/edit videos and all that good stuff, so I have to read up on CSS because I totally forgot how it works after I finished my 6th grade Computer Science project. It’s really confusing :P

Plus, unfortunately for me, the trip dates coincide with my period, which isn’t really good, because my period’s pretty irregular, and I don’t want it to come while I’m on this funny-smelling charter bus driving up to Boston. It’s just really blah.

You know how I wrote about how my 1670 Kittypoints suddenly turned into 0 Sanrio Loyalty Points? Well, they just turned back. What’s with that? Does anybody else have this problem? It’s really confusing…..

So, before, when I first logged in, the thing says, “Kitty points: 1670″. But now, when I log in, it says, “Sanrio loyalty points:     ”

What’s with that? Where did my 1670 kitty points go? I am majorly confused :P

Okay, so I was listening to my radio station on pandora.com, and Love Drunk by Boys Like Girls comes up. So I’m like, “cool”, because I like Boys Like Girls.

And then it gets to the chorus, and I think I’ve heard it before, but I can’t pinpoint where I’ve heard it. I think a little harder, and *boom!* I realize that the chorus of Love Drunk is almost the exact same thing as the chorus of Somebody Told Me by The Killers.

*sigh* What has the world come to?

So you know how my two friends ditched me for other people for the Boston project? Well, I found a new group of people. And guess what? They’ve ditched me too. What is this? Ditch Amy for the Boston Project Week?

Geez. Some people are just so mean. I have no clue what to do right now. Life sucks xP

It’s disgusting. It’s honestly really really disgusting. Gr.

You see, it was the second day of school today and it was really stupid. I lost my lunchbox yesterday (what a nice back-to-school surprise, no?) and I couldn’t find it today.

We were supposed to get our lockers today based on first period classes (and it doesn’t help to add that my first period is a bunch of computer geeks), but the teacher didn’t have our locker lists or combinations or anything. You can’t blame him though… We just got a new principal. Acting principal, really. Like a substitute principal until the school system finally gets around to choosing a new one.

So… our Math/Science/Computer Science Center Program’s going to Boston for six days. Exciting, no? Not really. Because my two best friends decide to ditch me and pick two other girls in their computer science class to be in their project group without even thinking, “hm… are we forgetting someone? Someone like Amy, perhaps?!?”. So, now I have to work with the absolute nobodies in my computer science class.

And apparently, I have to go pick my little brother up at his bus stop when his bus comes along. So I was just standing there, minding my own sweet business, when the bus pulls up and opens the doors. And my brother doesn’t come off. So I’m just staring at this bus, wondering if my brother’s suddenly going to appear or something, and I notice this lady gesturing in my direction and yelling. And I’m just like, “what?”. Then I finally get it through my thick head that she’s yelling at me and run over and the bus driver hands my brother to me from the bus, and I’m standing there thinking, “what the heck just happened?”

So, I’ll stop my rant right here. Just thinking about everything that went wrong makes me angry :P.

So, a few days before, the hard drive of my old desktop computer crashed and Windows wouldn’t start up. My dad took the drive to one of his friends, who tried to recover the data, but he couldn’t. So, we just got a new computer today, and it has…. *dun dun dun duuuunnnn*

WINDOWS VISTA!!! :)

Now, I’m fully aware that the newest version isn’t Vista… but before, I only had Windows XP, so Vista is a really cool change. I have to say though, it’s a lot like a Mac…

Anyhow, it’s not like anyone’s reading this, so there would be no point in saying “bye”.
