Jump.
Not entirely unrelated to my previous posts, but the tie-in is there. So if you don’t wanna read more about my whining, feel free to skip :p
I’m not the kind of guy who makes idle promises or threats. Yea, I know a lot of people would say the same thing. Or at least I’d hope people would. But I’ve seen things where people do make idle promises, with no intention of fulfilling them. So I like to think that if I say I would do something, I mean it.
But take that into context. If I’m stuck in traffic and someone cuts me off, I might say “man, I’d like to hit that guys car”, but I don’t really mean it. In that manner, I do try not to speak in the heat of the moment. But sometimes it happens, like my traffic example just now.
As for the tie-in. If I’ve gone so far as to reveal a crush to a person, then it’s probably something real enough that I would like to consider exploring further. And I’m not talking unrealistic celebrity crushes, which I’m actually really not prone to having anyways.
But for the girls who have me losing sleep over them (and that is not an idle statement, pfft), if they said “jump”, I’d ask “how high”. Words need to be backed up by action, but all I can say is “try me”. Of course, such an attitude is kind of risky, but since when is baring your heart ever without risk? Like any venture in life, there is usually a measure of risk, but the hope of success is enough to drive on beyond the fear of risk.
