Random cat photos, #2
I was looking at some of the photos of my cat, and I ran across pictures of the one time I gave her a bath, so like any cat owner, I just have to share.
I can’t show you the next series of photos. Well, there aren’t any, cause I’m pretty much involved with holding down a wet rat. But once we were done, and I opened the bathroom door, she bolted out and found a place to sulk.
“Billy, what’s this heap of wet hair on the stairs?”. Poor kitten didn’t want to talk to me for hours. Or until the next feeding cycle. Oh, and sorry about the messy stairs, the cat does like to drag things up and down and they haven’t been vacuumed in a little while. Yea, we’ll blame it on the poor innocent who can’t defend herself!
Anyways, she doesn’t seem to remember the scene of her torment.
I don’t know why, but she just loves to sit in the tub like this. And it takes a Herculean effort on my part to not turn on the shower.
I don’t remember why I gave her a bath that time, but there must have been a reason. Cats are naturally fastidious about keeping clean, so unless it is a medical reason, like easing allergies (or if she got into something really stinky) you really don’t need to bathe a cat. And the ensuing mayhem may result in the cat tattooing you with her claws, so you don’t really wanna do it unless necessary.

Yes, she is. I’ve warned her of this. And since I am a person who means what I say, one day, dot dot dot, muhaha. She also likes to sit in the sink just as I’m about to brush my teeth, too, but that has been a lesson she gas yet be learn, much to her own distress. Although that dousing is much less distressing than what might be :)

awwww! poor cat :( we don’t both trying to do that to our cat-she never goes outside unless we chuck her out the door and never gets dirty. It’s kind freaky

Hi Azog- I love my cats too.
Some cats really LIKE water - on their own terms. We have one cat that LOVEs water. He gets in the bathtub sometimes when it is draining- about up to his kitty ankles- and plays in the water. Also , most cats like to drink running water- so maybe she wants you to drip the faucet -so she can drink some from running water. I don’t think you would be mean enough to douse her when she didn’t deserve it ???? The Turkish Van breed loves water alot-maybe yours has some Van blood in her background. ;)

Oh i forgot- when you do give her a bath –you really should- if possible - try to dry her off with a towel. All that water is hard to dry out of their fur on it’s own. So , a good gentle toweling really helps them to dry their fur faster. :)

Your kitty’s adorable! Maybe because it’s getting warmer now, she stays at the tub to stay cool?

she looks so adorable as a kitten!! more kitten pics!! and at least she’s CLEAN and sits in the tub.. Mine used to sit in his Litterbox…

My cat would do that too! Lol. But if I tried to put her in there it was a different story.
