Fun on a Friday afternoon
Car inspection is due this month. I got the car in October, and it still had the new car sticker on it, but that runs out the end of March. I figured, why not get it out of the way. I don’t like to wait until the end of the month, cause it’s madness. So, it being Friday the 13th, everyone at work was like “ooooh”. Yea, whatever, I’m not superstitious.
Anyways, pull up at 1pm, sitting in line for 45 minutes. Can only play Solitaire so much, and the radio doesn’t work well in the Hyundai. *yawn*
There are six bays. One of which is dedicated to re-inspection, and two are closed. So that leaves three open. But it still took two hours. NJ is the most densely populated state in the US (DC is #1, but DC is not a state), so it is no surprise to wait. But the weather is clear, and it is about 40 degrees with no wind, so it is a nice day to stand outside and wait.
Luckily, I’m good for two years. Two hours for two years? One hour a year? I guess that isn’t too bad.
Pretty new sticker.
Pretty interesting, huh?

Six month inspection? Where is that? Anyways, here, once you get in line, you’re committed and can’t leave the car.

By the way. Did you know that February and March share the same date numbers? That is why there were two Friday the 13th in a row. So if Feb 16 is a Thursday, you know March 16 will be a Thursday, too!

hehe thats in new zealand and its called a warrant of fitness.
its too bad you cant leave the car.. here if you made people stick around 4 hrs every 6 months you’d have riots:P we’re not very good at waiting or lining up (small country syndrome)

Hey, my friend! Thank you for dropping by my blog btw. Yep, the pre-summer showers have ended and the temperature is rising, again. It’s summer now and hope you’re enjoying the first phase of Spring!
Btw, after reading your blog, I suddenly missed my car… ^_^

Hey Cal! Glad to see you posting again. You and Zel have broken the silence! I’m hoping at least one other GM might poke her head out for a breath of fresh air. O¿o
.
Oh, and what happened to your car? Maybe when the weather breaks for good, and I get my Mustang detailed, I’ll do a bragging post with pics. pfft
