Pizza
Still feeling a little downcast. Feeling stupid, too, after my last post. I’ll probably delete it, figuring not too many people are that interested in things. It is hard to eulogize someone who generates such mixed emotions, but since it is the best eulogy I can do, I will leave it for a little longer, maybe a month. I said I was gonna take a break, so I guess a week is the best I could do for now.
I also took this time to take care of my other blog. I actually moved it to a new hosting company. The old hosting company was no longer interested in providing service, and handed off most of their support to someone else. The new people were terrible in terms of customer service. It would take two weeks for a reply to a simple question, like enabling ssh. The actual initial set up was fairly fast, but it just takes times to get things just right.
And I’ve made a new blog button for here. I’m not very artistic when it comes to these things, so I’m sure that it is pretty bland. But I felt like having another option / alternative.
But here is more neutral post. Well, more like based on what I had for lunch yesterday.
Pizza. I love it. Who doesn’t? Well, I know not everyone does. I’d probably figure the split is 50/50, though. Since I’m born and bred in New Jersey, I have a self-admitted bias towards (authentic) New York style pizza. And yes, I’m pretty sure I have a stereotypical Jersey accent. Although only outsiders say “Joisey”(unless we are being facetious).
Now, I’m a person who likes the natural flavor of the food I am eating. I use condiments sparingly. So for pizza, I like plain cheese. One topping is fine, two at the most. People at work sometimes make fun of me, because they think I like bland foods. But that’s not the case. I love trying new foods: sweet, spicy, tasty, bland, whatever. Variety is very important. Unfortunately, nobody currently in my life is that adventurous. The first time I went to a Korean restaurant, I loved kimchi. But that’s flavor. Not a lot of stuff piled on top of it. But seriously, if I wanted a salad with my pizza, I wouldn’t order one on top of my pizza.
Here where I live, a “standard” 12″ pizza is usually about $10, and that’s on the cheap side. Slices are about $2.00. One of my favorite pizza joints even allows you to order online! I’ve had them deliver it, and I’ve also ordered so it’ll be ready on my way home from work. And its not my favorite because of this, but that is a serious bonus in their favor. I originally linked their website, but decided against it, cause I don’t feel like getting an e-mail telling me that my 20 pizzas are ready for pickup!
Ahhh, good old pizza.
Another favorite is Sicilian pizza. Since two plain slices are usually not enough, but three are too many, I often get one slice of regular and one of Sicilian. Of course, two slices of Sicilian is too much.
And if you’re ever in (or close enough to) New Jersey, feel free to ping me. I can take you to some of my favorite restaurants.

That pizza looks delish! I like cheese pizza the best, especially the kind with some different herbs and spices on it. Mmmm! Too bad I’m not in NJ, you seem to have fine taste in food lol.

Gah, Komori no like pizza. The only kind of pizza I like is pizza with no sauce, no cheese, no pepperoni, which is also known as, “bread.”
