I haven’t had pistachios in months and months, so last week, I finally get a bag, sit down, and dig in. Now they’re recalling pistachios over a salmonella risk.

Yup, mine are made by the same company. But they’re a different style (unsalted) and size (16oz). They’re newer, too, since I just got them last week, so the “use by date” is much later than what is posted.

After the peanut, tomato, and whoever knows whatever else. I’ll say this, if they ever have a coffee or chocolate recall, there will be dire consequences.

It seems like a lot of people make fun of NJ. But I’m betting that is because they don’t really know much about the state. They probably looking at unrealistic television shows like “The Sopranos” (which, by the way, I’ve never seen a single episode of), or getting a view from Newark Airport. And let’s face it, if all you see of any area is the airports, you’re probably not going to see much other than industrial zones.

This week, I was told to move my desk. So I spent the latter half of the day moving my desk. The early part of the day was spent on diagnosing a failed Internet proxy. Don’t you just love modern technology?

Car inspection is due this month. I got the car in October, and it still had the new car sticker on it, but that runs out the end of March.  I figured, why not get it out of the way. I don’t like to wait until the end of the month, cause it’s madness. So, it being Friday the 13th, everyone at work was like “ooooh”. Yea, whatever, I’m not superstitious.

I’m looking forward to the follow-up post.

I made this a little while ago, but was hesitant to post it.  I have no idea why I did this. But rather than my usual buffoonery, I’ll try to keep the commentary to a minimum. Other than that, all I ask is that you please be gentle.

I wanted to upload it to the Dream Studio, but they limit mpeg uploads to 50mb, and this is almost double, about 90mb. So while I did upload it to a video hosting service, comments are disabled there.

The lighting is horrible, it looks like I have hideous bags under my eyes; I am having hair malfunctions. That day, it could not decide to rain or snow, so it did both. Between going going in and out the door several times, this is what happens.

Still feeling a little downcast. Feeling stupid, too, after my last post. I’ll probably delete it, figuring not too many people are that interested in things. It is hard to eulogize someone who generates such mixed emotions, but since it is the best eulogy I can do, I will leave it for a little longer, maybe a month. I said I was gonna take a break, so I guess a week is the best I could do for now.
