The Empire State Building
The Empire State Building was named after the nickname of New York state, The Empire State. It was the tallest building in New York for many years, and sadly, now holds that title again. It is also the second tallest building in the United States. It’s on the national landmark register, and has been officially recognized for its architecture and engineering. There’s a lot more that can be said about the building, but if you’re in NY, you can visit the building.
