I don’t know just how unprecedented this is, but when the director of a show decides to boycott the network airing the said show, you gotta admit that this is pretty big.

The director I speak of is Giancarlo Volpe,  one of Avatar’s respected helmsmen, and the man behind the season two episode "The Drill," which won an Annie for Best Directing in an Animated Television Production. In his Deviant Art post dated April 10, Volpe technically hands Nickelodeon an ultimatum of sorts by calling the fans to boycott the network until new episodes of Avatar begin to air.

Unprecedented? Maybe. Awesome? You bet. Giancarlo Volpe is a man among men.
