Graduation Tomorrow…

Currently feeling: chikas_pink01Sad~

I’m so sad. My best friend just sent me an e-card saying how much she’ll miss me next year… and ARGH! Who would have thought an e-card can cause someone to nearly cry? Despite the fact some of my friends can be annoying, I’m going to miss them so much… Come to think of it, I’ll miss everyone. I practically grew up with these guys and they’ve been such a huge part of my everyday life. It’s inevitable that we’ll part, but still…

Anyway, this one guy in my class ruined the entire atmosphere.

Friend: I’m so sad… we might never see each other again!

Guy: Aw, come on. We know that after graduation, we’ll just go our separate ways because it’ll be hard to keep in touch. I mean, there’s a very low chance that anyone from this class will be friends for the rest of their lives. It just doesn’t happen.

More or less what he said. Maybe not in those exact words, but you know what I mean. >.< Man, why does have to be so… (the word is on the tip of my tongue!)

Semi-short entry today. I need to get ready for grad tomorrow.

Happy Father’s Day

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos009 Busy (Writing letters!)

Yup. Happy Father’s Day to all… er… fathers! (I never saw My Melody’s father before! I thought she lived with her mom, grandma and brother or something) And of course, to my own dad! :D

I’m sorta busy right now, so that’s it for today. :)

Happy Belated Birthday to…

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos027Tired

…my mom and Igor Stravinsky!

This was the birthday cake we had for her! We went out for sushi. :3

On the other hand, I’ve been feeling so tired lately… we just had a lot of work to do at school, and I still have one more test to do tomorrow. At least school is ending soon… it’ll be very bittersweet because it’s our graduating year, and I going to miss everyone!

Now, for some info on Igor Stravinsky. Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky was a Russian composer, pianist and conductor. Some of his notable ballets include: The Firebird, The Rite of Spring and Petrushka.

Here’s him conducting The Firebird.

I also want to apologize for the Ottawa pictures~ I’ve been posting them when I have time and when I’m not blogging about something else. I will get them all up… eventually.

I’m feeling so sleepy and lazy~ I have around 8 farewells letters to write for my teachers, a couple of presents to buy, and I still need to get some accessories for our graduation dinner! I can’t wait until all the excitement dies down… then I can start blogging regularly again!

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos014Sick

Well, as you probably guessed from the title of this entry, I’ve been busy. xP Since there’s only around a week and half of school left, our teachers are really piling on the assignments, projects and tests. For this entire week, I’ve been staying up pretty late to study and finish projects. I guess that, coupled with the stress and anxiety I’ve been feeling got me sick (I left school early yesterday because I came down with a slight fever and cold). Or, maybe it was because of the temperature (it’s still somewhat cold around here) or maybe because my friend was sick, but came to school in the afternoon anyway. –_-; And no, I don’t think it’s the swine flu.

My fever is gone, but I’m still not in the mood to do anymore blogging… I’m still a bit tired. But if anyone still has anymore requests for buttons or signatures, feel free to ask. :) But before you do, please read the Terms and Conditions on my graphics blog: http://blog.sanriotown.com/kimonobutterfly:hellokity.com

You can e-mail requests to ariarose@mymelody.com, as I decided it would a lot more convenient for everyone.

One more thing: I’ve been writing a short story for school. I would love to post it here, but I don’t know if it’s appropriate for Sanriotown. It’s about a detective whose been investigating a string of suicides that have been happening lately, around 2 months after a serial killer case that was never solved. What do you think? There’s nothing graphic or gory in it, of course. Should I make it a password protected page, and if you guys want to read it, you guys can e-mail me for the password? I would love some input!

Ottawa Trip (Part 2)

Currently feeling:angelstar-kaos008Nervous

Well, I finally found some time to post some more pictures from my trip!

This is still around the Parliament Buildings…

DSC00830 DSC00832 DSC00827 DSC00823 DSC00810 DSC00807 DSC00801 DSC00800

For today, I decided to post all the pictures of the statues I saw there. Most of them are statues of past Prime Ministers, and the one on the horse is a statue of Queen Elizabeth… I think. ^^;

I’m sorry I can’t go into detail with them… I still have some homework I really need to finish, and I can’t really remember which Prime Minister is which… I’m sorry. D:

Oh! And I want to thank the people who wished me luck on my valedictorian speechoff thing. Since they couldn’t decide on one person, we’ll need to present our speeches again on Monday so they can decide.

So please wish me luck! (Again).

Peace Tree Day (Belated) and Some Pictures of School

Currently feeling: onigiri_ramenHungry

Well, it was technically yesterday or something… not really sure. Anyways, you can learn about it on this website: http://www.sandalwoodproductions.com/peacetree/

Our school even made our own peace tree! Not a real tree, though. A bulletin board tree… ^^;

Isn’t it nice? :) Every class had to make a symbol of peace to put on the tree. Our class didn’t finish making ours yet, so it’s not on there…

We also folded a whole bunch of paper cranes, hot glue gunned them onto some string, and hung them up! Don’t they look pretty?

I think it’s supposed to be a nod to Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, (one of the most beautiful and sad stories I’ve ever read). I even helped (sort of) fold some of the cranes! But they looked ugly. :(

Oh, and I’d like to share our tiled wall! Last year, all the students got to paint a tile and we put them on a wall.

Cool, eh? :D Oh, and on the subject of my school, here’s a picture of a drawing one of our substitute teachers drew for our class in like, 15 minutes.

It’s from the cover of a National Geographic magazine. :) Isn’t it beautiful? Oh, and this substitute teacher also used to teach drawing at my piano school (they offer other services other than piano). I didn’t remember until afterwards, but he’s an awesome guy (everyone in my class thought he was the best substitute they had), and I hope I’ll be able to meet him again in the future! It’s a small world after all, isn’t it?

New Cellphone!

Currently feeling: chikas_pink16 Eagerly writing

Does that even count as a feeling? O.o Oh well, it does now! xD

As you can probably tell from the title, I got a new cell phone! Chyeah.

DSC00977 DSC00976

Pretty cool, huh? :) I got it yesterday, but I didn’t feel like blogging, so I’m just blogging about it today.

I just noticed this, but there seems to be some sorta trend going on with my electronic stuff… my laptop is red, my camera is red, my old DS was red (now it’s white) and now, my cellphone is red… I wonder if they sell red plasma tvs? xD

Anyways, today is Peace Tree Day. Our school made a bulletin board about it, so I might take a pic and post it here (if the teachers let me…). They have also folded a whole bunch of paper cranes, glued them on strings and hung them up! They look so pretty…~ I also have a few more Ottawa trip pictures to post up later… so stay tuned for those!

One more thing; I was nominated for Valedictorian! That doesn’t mean I’m actually the valedictorian right now… all nominees have to write a 1 minute blurb saying why they think they should be valedictorian (aka, brag about themselves) and present it. People then have to vote on the person they want to be valedictorian. Wish me luck! :)

Ottawa Trip (Part 1)

Currently feeling:angelstar-kaos001Cheery

Finally, I’ll be talking about and posting pictures of my trip to Ottawa! Huzzah!

I’ll be dividing this trip into several posts, so it doesn’t take up too much space. :) Now that I’m looking back on it, I want to go again… ~ It was so much fun! (Please note I will not be posting pics of myself… sorry!)

So, we had to wake up at around 6 am, and headed for school at around 7. There, we took stock of luggage and everything, and steeled ourselves for a 4 hour bus ride (aka, we went to the bathroom).

We rode on the bus with a couple of bathroom breaks… Along the way, a whole group of people on our bus started competing in Mario Kart (my friend, who was sitting beside me, came in last in every race xD) I didn’t play because I didn’t bring Mario Kart, so I played Luminous Arc 2 instead, with one of my other friends watching. :3

When we (finally!) arrived at Ottawa, we went to the Rideau Center for lunch. There, we got some photo opportunities! We even got a group picture with a soldier (fyi: there were a lot of soldiers there). I can’t post it though, because I don’t post pics of myself online, and I didn’t get permission from the soldier… oh well… But I can post pics of…

Chateau Laurier! We didn’t actually get to go inside, but my friends and I left the mall and took a couple of pictures of it. We had this competition thing going on, where we were all divided into groups and had to take pictures of certain things to win (and answer worksheets…)! Chateau Laurier was one of the things we had to take  pics of.

Forgot what this was called… anyway, one of the monuments we passed by. :)

After that, we went off to our first attraction… Parliament Hill! (I’ll post some of the things I learned about Parliment Hill from the tour guide later).

DSC00790 DSC00793

The Parliament Buildings! The place where the laws of Canada are born! xD Learn more about them here: http://www.ottawakiosk.com/parliament_buildings.html

A group of Chinese playing in a band at the front of the Parliament building… they were supposed to be promoting something, but I forgot what. ^^; That day was already scorching hot, so I felt bad for them in their long pants and long sleeved shirts…

That’s it for today… I took a whole bunch of pictures, but that’s all I’m posting for today… will be posting more later on when I have time. I’ll also go into more detail about the places I went to. :)

Sticky Rice Day

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos002Weary

I know, the title is a bit odd. ^^; I wasn’t sure about the direct translation of this Chinese food into english, so this is the best I can do.

Here’s a picture I took of one. It’s still wrapped up in the leaves, so you can’t see the actual rice, and I didn’t feel like waiting until my mom decided to cook it. Oh well.

The story goes like this: a very popular minister realized that the king wasn’t paying attention to the demands of the people, so the kingdom was starting to deteriorate. So the king would pay attention to the people, he committed suicide by jumping into a river (personally, I think there could have a better solution…). The people really liked this guy and they didn’t want  the fish to start eating his body. So, they threw the leaves you use to wrap sticky rice in the water so the fish would eat that instead. That’s why the Chinese, to this very day, eat this stuff on the 28th, in remembrance of him.

I finally found the cord thing for my camera, so I can upload pictures now! Huzzah! Tomorrow, I will (finally) post pictures from my trip to Ottawa.

As an ending note, I made two new e-mails and blogs: kimonobutterfly@hellokitty.com for graphics, and starcookie@kuririnmail.com to write about my gaming experiences and other stuff like that. :) They’re still in progress though.

National Sorry Day

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos005 Clean

Just took a shower with pomegranate-scented shampoo and it smells wonderful! Will probably be gone by tomorrow, though. X.x

For those who read my blog, yes, I changed the blog theme. I have used the old one for a *long* time, so I thought maybe it was time for a change. :) So, here we go. I’m also revamping certain sections to make them more… pleasing to the eye, shall we say? xD At least the banners no longer look squished…

Now, for the title of this post… National Sorry Day is a national Australian event. An act from the government ordered that all Aboriginal children be removed from their families, an event that was known as the “Stolen Children.” This day became National Sorry Day to acknowledge the wrongs towards them, and a step towards the healing process. Despite this, it is not an official holiday.
