Two Posts in One Day?!

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos014Still tired (and very bored)

Yup, another post… x_x I have a lot of blogging to catch up on, so I’ll post another one for today.

So far, nothing has been really happening in summer vacation. All I’ve been doing is going on the computer, playing DS, going to the park or swimming. In other words, I’m really bored at the moment. xD

I’ve finished playing almost all my favourite DS games, which is awful. Now I have nothing to play… which is actually a big tragedy in my case. So, I’m desperately looking for new DS games to replace the old ones, but I’m having difficulty… I’ve started playing Touch Detective, which is sort of old, and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. They’re ok, they just haven’t sparked my interest all that much. So, if you guys know of any good games, please let me know.

The past couple of days have been… mediocre. My cousin is staying with us for the summer, but she hangs out with my brother more than me, because her and my brother are around the same age. We went swimming, went to the park (the park has sprinklers, so we ran through those xD), and got some free ice cream.

And that’s… it.

I’ll be banished to camp for 3 weeks, which I’m not looking forward to and I have to practice for my piano exam. Man, I’m bored.

So, how is everyone else’s summer? Hopefully better than mine. x_x

Graduation Dinner (Belated Post)

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos014Tired

Ever since summer vacation, I’ve been feeling so lazy… I don’t feel like blogging at all… but since there’s still a lot of stuff to write about, I might as well get started.

So, first off, graduation dinner. Yup, a very bittersweet evening. We went to church in the morning and had our graduation mass. Afterwards, we had until around… 6 or so to prepare for the big night~

I didn’t think my mom would want to pay a lot of money for hair and nails and stuff… but in the end, I got my hair curled at the hairdressers for around  $30. Then, we rushed to a nail parlour, and a family friend paid for my manicure and pedicure~ It was $35, so I felt sorta guilty…

DSC00998

Blue nails! It matches the ribbon on my dress… my dress was black, strapless and ruffled-ish with a blue ribbon around the waist. I would post a pic, but since I don’t post pictures of myself online, I can’t. D: (Pictures of toes and fingers are fine, though). The thing to the left is my big toe, just in case your wondering. x(

After, I got dressed. A friend did my makeup, lent me a clutch, and we were off!

Well, I ended being semi-late… I just made it as all the graduates were walking into the banquet hall. The place was a bit smaller than I expected, but a whole lot fancier.

Before dinner started, we had the speeches, award presentations, etc. In the end, I won the Language award! (Like I mentioned in my other post). My heart never beat so fast. xD I also got on honour roll! :D

Then, the principals, teachers and valedictorians made their speeches, and dinner finally started! I sat at a table with my parents, my friends, and their parents. The food actually wasn’t all that tasty, meh. They put little star sparkles on the tables, though, and I made them into a smiley face! DSC00984

I’m sorry for the bad quality… x(

Then, all the parents left, and the dancing started. My feet were killing me… I wore high heels throughout the entire thing, because I didn’t want to get my feet dirty, or get them cut on broken glass… (it happened to one girl last year…), so they were really sore by the end of the night. Fortunately, no blisters…

When it was time to go, let’s just say that everyone was an emotional wreck. We were all crying like crazy, hugging each other, saying how much we’ll miss each other… etc…

And we went home.

I sound so… unemotional. xD Really, there were so many feelings running through my mind that night that I would love to share, but this post is getting too long, and I’m tired. I’m sorry for the lack of pictures… most of them have me and my friends in them, so I can’t post them…

Oh, and Ottawa pictures are coming… I think.

Blog All-Star?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Currently feeling: chikas_pink56Shocked (but happy! :3)

There are not enough exclamation points in the word to describe how excited I’m feeling. No, seriously.

I was just logging in to check my e-mail. Then, under the Blog All-Stars box, the words “Aria’s Blog” caught my attention. I just stared dumbly at it for a few moments, then it dawned on me that it was MY BLOG.

MY BLOG IS THE BLOG OF THE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahem. I’m so happy~ I never thought I would get it in a million years.

Excuse me while I go and do my happy dance. :3

Oh, and before I go, I want to thank all my friends on Sanriotown and to all the people who take the time to read or comment on blog. You guys are the best. ;)

Graduation Dinner… and Farewells

Currently feeling: chikas_pink17Thoughtful

Well, today was my very last day in my school.

To tell you the truth, I don’t know what I’m feeling right now. My classmates; yes, I don’t even talk that much to some of them, but they’re like family – I’ve known them all for so long. And for my close friends, knowing that this is the last time we will be all together in our school is… well…

And now, it’s good-bye… I don’t know. I just feel empty – not sad or mad or anything… just empty.

So, yesterday was my graduation dinner. I’ll post more about it later on, because I’m so tired. Oh, and my feet are killing me. xD I danced in heels for the entire night.

Oh, and I WON THE LANGUAGE AWARD!!! I’m so happy! x3 I’ve been worrying about it so much, I couldn’t sleep until 2 am on Monday!

And before I go, can everyone please pray for my cousin? Even if you aren’t religious, please, just wish him luck. He’s in a rough spot at the moment (I can’t say how) so, please. It would give me some peace of mind.

I guess that’s it for now. Bye.

Graduation Tomorrow…

Currently feeling: chikas_pink01Sad~

I’m so sad. My best friend just sent me an e-card saying how much she’ll miss me next year… and ARGH! Who would have thought an e-card can cause someone to nearly cry? Despite the fact some of my friends can be annoying, I’m going to miss them so much… Come to think of it, I’ll miss everyone. I practically grew up with these guys and they’ve been such a huge part of my everyday life. It’s inevitable that we’ll part, but still…

Anyway, this one guy in my class ruined the entire atmosphere.

Friend: I’m so sad… we might never see each other again!

Guy: Aw, come on. We know that after graduation, we’ll just go our separate ways because it’ll be hard to keep in touch. I mean, there’s a very low chance that anyone from this class will be friends for the rest of their lives. It just doesn’t happen.

More or less what he said. Maybe not in those exact words, but you know what I mean. >.< Man, why does have to be so… (the word is on the tip of my tongue!)

Semi-short entry today. I need to get ready for grad tomorrow.

Happy Father’s Day

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos009 Busy (Writing letters!)

Yup. Happy Father’s Day to all… er… fathers! (I never saw My Melody’s father before! I thought she lived with her mom, grandma and brother or something) And of course, to my own dad! :D

I’m sorta busy right now, so that’s it for today. :)

Happy Belated Birthday to…

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos027Tired

…my mom and Igor Stravinsky!

 clip_image002

This was the birthday cake we had for her! We went out for sushi. :3

On the other hand, I’ve been feeling so tired lately… we just had a lot of work to do at school, and I still have one more test to do tomorrow. At least school is ending soon… it’ll be very bittersweet because it’s our graduating year, and I going to miss everyone!

Now, for some info on Igor Stravinsky. Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky was a Russian composer, pianist and conductor. Some of his notable ballets include: The Firebird, The Rite of Spring and Petrushka.

Here’s him conducting The Firebird.

I also want to apologize for the Ottawa pictures~ I’ve been posting them when I have time and when I’m not blogging about something else. I will get them all up… eventually.

I’m feeling so sleepy and lazy~ I have around 8 farewells letters to write for my teachers, a couple of presents to buy, and I still need to get some accessories for our graduation dinner! I can’t wait until all the excitement dies down… then I can start blogging regularly again!

Busy…~

Currently feeling: angelstar-kaos014Sick

Well, as you probably guessed from the title of this entry, I’ve been busy. xP Since there’s only around a week and half of school left, our teachers are really piling on the assignments, projects and tests. For this entire week, I’ve been staying up pretty late to study and finish projects. I guess that, coupled with the stress and anxiety I’ve been feeling got me sick (I left school early yesterday because I came down with a slight fever and cold). Or, maybe it was because of the temperature (it’s still somewhat cold around here) or maybe because my friend was sick, but came to school in the afternoon anyway. –_-; And no, I don’t think it’s the swine flu.

My fever is gone, but I’m still not in the mood to do anymore blogging… I’m still a bit tired. But if anyone still has anymore requests for buttons or signatures, feel free to ask. :) But before you do, please read the Terms and Conditions on my graphics blog: http://blog.sanriotown.com/kimonobutterfly:hellokity.com

You can e-mail requests to ariarose@mymelody.com, as I decided it would a lot more convenient for everyone.

One more thing: I’ve been writing a short story for school. I would love to post it here, but I don’t know if it’s appropriate for Sanriotown. It’s about a detective whose been investigating a string of suicides that have been happening lately, around 2 months after a serial killer case that was never solved. What do you think? There’s nothing graphic or gory in it, of course. Should I make it a password protected page, and if you guys want to read it, you guys can e-mail me for the password? I would love some input!

Ottawa Trip (Part 2)

Currently feeling:angelstar-kaos008Nervous

Well, I finally found some time to post some more pictures from my trip!

This is still around the Parliament Buildings…

DSC00830 DSC00832 DSC00827 DSC00823 DSC00810 DSC00807 DSC00801 DSC00800

For today, I decided to post all the pictures of the statues I saw there. Most of them are statues of past Prime Ministers, and the one on the horse is a statue of Queen Elizabeth… I think. ^^;

I’m sorry I can’t go into detail with them… I still have some homework I really need to finish, and I can’t really remember which Prime Minister is which… I’m sorry. D:

Oh! And I want to thank the people who wished me luck on my valedictorian speechoff thing. Since they couldn’t decide on one person, we’ll need to present our speeches again on Monday so they can decide.

So please wish me luck! (Again).

Peace Tree Day (Belated) and Some Pictures of School

Currently feeling: onigiri_ramenHungry

Well, it was technically yesterday or something… not really sure. Anyways, you can learn about it on this website: http://www.sandalwoodproductions.com/peacetree/

Our school even made our own peace tree! Not a real tree, though. A bulletin board tree… ^^;

DSC00979

Isn’t it nice? :) Every class had to make a symbol of peace to put on the tree. Our class didn’t finish making ours yet, so it’s not on there…

We also folded a whole bunch of paper cranes, hot glue gunned them onto some string, and hung them up! Don’t they look pretty?

DSC00980

I think it’s supposed to be a nod to Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, (one of the most beautiful and sad stories I’ve ever read). I even helped (sort of) fold some of the cranes! But they looked ugly. :(

Oh, and I’d like to share our tiled wall! Last year, all the students got to paint a tile and we put them on a wall.

DSC00981

Cool, eh? :D Oh, and on the subject of my school, here’s a picture of a drawing one of our substitute teachers drew for our class in like, 15 minutes.

DSC00978

It’s from the cover of a National Geographic magazine. :) Isn’t it beautiful? Oh, and this substitute teacher also used to teach drawing at my piano school (they offer other services other than piano). I didn’t remember until afterwards, but he’s an awesome guy (everyone in my class thought he was the best substitute they had), and I hope I’ll be able to meet him again in the future! It’s a small world after all, isn’t it?
