Our 7 feet christmas tree arrived this year and we got home after work and turned on some christmas carols and decorated the tree. The smell of the pines filled the house and Anton talked about the Christmas tree all night wearing his santa hat and making everyone else wear it too. Christmas is the best time of the year especially when its the first Christmas with both of my children

Anya just started teething and can manage one or two coordinated crawls. She’s so much fun now but definetly have a girly temper. I see so much of myself in her.

This weekend we had a couple visit our place for the first time. Coincidentally her boy Tristan was born on the same day as Anya January 8, 2007

It almost seemed like an eternity ago when Anton was this small but the biggest difference this time is I’m in no rush to have her crawl, turnaournd, walk, talk and all the first milestones that baby’s are suppose to meet. I love her baby smell, I love the way she sleeps with her mouth open, I love the fact that I can cuddle and hug her whenever I want. I guess in this day and age with working parents we are always constantly in a rush and we don’t spend enough time just stopping and enjoying the very simple pleasures that we take for granted.

With kids they take their time and the world “as they see it” revolves around them. If my son wants to stop in the middle of walking just to watch the ants, he’ll do that. He closes his eyes when there’s a breeze that hits his face. He loves life and it shows.

my baby girl is growing and getting cuter by the day but one thing I notice is this girl’s got personality - if she doesn’t like something she will definetly make sure we know that (mostly by screaming so loud that you hear a echo in your ear) She’s started some cereal and occassionally sucking on watermelon

The last few mornings have somewhat been a blurb to me because Anton had a fever and I slept with him to give him medicine and wipe him down in the middle of the night. It was, however, a very fulfilling because i have not slept with anton for a long time and almost forgot how peaceful it feels when he holds my hand while sleeping and wraps his arms around my neck. It was sweet…despite my eye bags. This morning while we were feeding anya in her room Anton stomped into her room with his pacifiier and just lay next to her. Of course, this totally excited anya and so she was more excited about looking at him rather than her own milk. Here’s a picture.
